When I was 12 I got heart disease and had heart surgery

when I was 14. Before that I always had honor roll classes,

but then I got addicted to drugs after surgery.

Even though I’m young, I’ve struggled a lot. I lost my favorite cousin last year. We did everything together. He was in a coma for two days until his mom told his doctors to take him off life support. I wasn’t there and because of that I didn’t feel worthy of being at his funeral, so I didn’t go. I wonder if he forgives me.

I get depressed often and don’t even have a reason why. Some think it’s all in my head,

but it really is a problem with me and I can’t control it..

My parents got a divorce and my father didn’t give my mom any money. My mother had to work 16 hours a day and I’ve had to take care of my sister. My mother is the only reason I am still attending school so that one day her hard work will pay off and she can be proud of me.

My parents were never home and they never talked to me. I was on drugs at age 8 and quit at age 12.

I was abused physically and mentally.

Now I am a happy teen mom…and I’m not ever going to treat my baby the way I was treated.

I just want to get a high school diploma and get a job as a pediatrician although I have no clue on how to get to BE a pediatrician. The most annoying and yet hurtful thing is when my aunts and uncles talk smack telling me I’m dreaming too high.
