D&TIn D&T have been learning about F1 in Schools. Here is a photo of the race day.

D&TI have also been learning about a topic called Control. Control is when you try to find out how digital technology works e.g. when a computer sends a message. We (well, I) told Mr. Giddings that digital technology works with a language called Binary. Binary is a language consisting of 0s and 1s.

Science

In Science we have firstly been doing the Solar System, and have slightly linked Maths to it to create a correlation chart. Next, we did Electricity and did a very complicated circuit! After that topic, we worked on magnets, and used both topics to learn enough to create a simple electromagnet. Then, leaving the topic on magnets, We went onto Acids and alkalis, which me and all my friends liked so far! I’m now going to show you the end of unit assessment that I did. I am very proud on this piece ofwork.

Richard III

Information

Richard III was born in 2 October 1452. He was given the throne by Edward IV, his brother. He was crowned on 20th June 1483 until his death in the Battle of Bosworth on the 22nd of August in 1485. He ruled England for two years, one month and twenty seven days. Richard III’s wife was Anne Neville, and their son was Edward of Middleham, Prince on Wales. His enemy in the Battle of Bosworth was Henry Tudor, who won the battle. When he was crowned King of England, he renamed himself as Henry VII. Richard unfortunately died when he was in Battle of Bosworth, like chess when somebody kills the king, but this was obviously a bit more violent. What people say about him now is that he didn’t change England very much, considering that he only reigned for three years, which was quite a short time to reign. h

Richard III’s dad was Richard Plantagenet, and he was born on the 21st of September, 1411. He lived until l460. His wife, Cecily Neville, was born the 3rd of May, 1415. She was actually the mum of not just Richard III, but also the mum of Edward IV.
