STUDENTIT INDUCTION
MITS IntroductionThe Management Information Technology and System Office (MITS) provides IT support and services for learning, teaching, research and staff offices. Areas of expertise include IT infrastructure, application development, helpdesk services, and education systems.
MITS PoliciesMITS maintains a set of policies and service level agreements (SLA) that state the responsibility everyone has at XJTLU to ensure information security. The policies help protect data and maintain the security of the XJTLU network, as well as present the scope and quality services that can be expected from MITS.By using any MITS service indicates that you have read and accepted SLA and Policy.

XJTLU AccountThe XJTLU UIM(Unified Identity Management) account can be used to log in university network, computers, email and many other service and systems. The login account is your username(e.g. lei.li21, john.smith20)

XJTLU has both wired and wireless network. Log in with your UIM account to gain Internet access. Students can connect up to 3 devices* to the Wi-Fi Network simultaneously.

*If you received “login Failed” message, it means you have reached the maximum device limit.You can add more devices after removing old devices. Refer to the bottom links for more information:
VPN Access
PacketiX is a VPN software that allows access to intranet resources while off-campus (Some XJTLU website and systems require a VPN connection while off-campus).PacketiX can be downloaded by follow the directions on the guide “VPN for off-campus”, located on the Guide Page.
DO NOT attempt to connect to the VPN while on campusPacktiX does NOT allow access to overseas websites

MITS DOES NOT provide top up service. Top up: Family Mart (全家) and Xinghai Square Citizen Card Service Centre (星海广场市民卡服务中心).Lost card：Log on to Student One Stop, click on Student ID Card Replacement.
Cost: ￥20 RMB. It takes about a week to get a new card.

Health CodeIn accordance with the government epidemic prevention and control requirements, students need to complete an online health report on a daily basis to obtain the XJTLU Health Pass Code(西浦码). This is an important access pass for you on campus, and may be checked at different locations.
1. Scan the QR code and login with your XJTLU UIM account(Do not leave any space after your account).
2. Click the Pass Code and Follow the steps required by the system to obtain your personal XJTLU Health Pass Code
3. You will get a real-time Green or Red Pass Code according to your daily health report.
