Monday, Sept. 23 – submit signed contract to Mrs. Kelley
Thursday, Sept. 26 – turn in outline for speech to Mrs. Kelley
Monday, Sept. 30 – Present Speech
Tuesday, Oct. 1 – Voting during homeroom (grades 6-8)
How Does it Work? Cont…• Once voted in
– Members vote on President
– Call meeting to order
– Forms agenda
– In charge of student quote schedule
– Collecting and retyping minutes for the meeting
– Overseeing four committees and helping advisors to problem solve
– Members are paired up – one 7th grader with one 8th grader - into 4 groups
– 4th, 5th, and 6th graders will be divided accordingly
• Each group is responsible for one aspect of Student Council– Social Climate
– Philanthropic
– In school activities
– Voice of school
How Does it Work? Cont…• ALL members will be responsible for taking notes each meeting
– Notebooks will be provided
• Each group will be responsible for leading meeting with a chosen quote
• Advisors will be responsible for:

– making sure members are always on task
