Instruction and Guidelines to follow at

St. John Neumann Parish, Strykersville, NY.

The Diocese of Buffalo is issuing new guidelines in response to corona virus (covid-19) concerns.

According to the diocese, the guidance is in stages and could be stepped up if, or when, the situation changes in the country or Western New York.

I think the first thing we have to do is normalize our emotions and realize it's okay. We all are un-certain. We don't know what the future holds. We fear the unknown. We want to be in control.”

The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass remains in place. All who are especially vulnerable or simply

uncomfortable attending a public Liturgy are encouraged to remain at home and if

possible, view Mass via live streams, which will continue in local parishes.

If you are SICK, stay home and limit your contact with others. Please be concerned about others.

Today’s Readings:

2 Kings 4: 8-11, 14-16a Romans 6: 3-4, 8-11 Matthew 10: 37-42

Much is demanded of a disciple, but great are the rewards. Elisha’s benefactors furnish a room for the itinerant prophet, and he goes on to make them an extraordinary promise. Saint Paul tells the Romans that those baptized in Christ are baptized into his death, but will also

live with him in eternal life. Jesus tells his apostles that each must take up his cross, but they will be rewarded with everlasting life in the

kingdom. Are we willing to be disciples as well?

Next week’s readings: Zechariah 9: 9-10

Romans 8: 9, 11-13 Matthew 11: 25-30

A VOCATION VIEW
