step 3.

step 4.

Closely follow post installation instructions (or sleeve existing wood 4x4)

Cut rails to length a. Place bottom rail across post opening leaving equivalent spacing from the last baluster and post on each end b. Mark ¼" from end of post to allow room for bracket and expansion c. Align top rail with bottom rail and cut both rails with miter box or hacksaw (see saw blade manufacturer's specs for correct blade) note: you will have to cut through an aluminum insert in the top rail

Install 3" support brace

a. 1 support brace is included with 6' railing kits. Measure equal distance from both ends of railing and install support brace in center of bottom rail For 67 ½" rail: install center of support brace 33 ¾" from ends of rail

b. 2 support braces are included with 8' railing kits. Measure length of rail, divide by 3 and measure that distance from your rail to the center of your first support brace and install support brace. Repeat that step from the opposite side of your rail. For 92" rail: divide 92" by 3 (=302/3"); install both support braces 302/3" from their respective ends

Cut two 3" temporary wood spacer blocks (not included) to insert under ends of railing sections to temporarily assist in aligning railing section.

Snap balusters into your bottom rail a. Lock tabs on baluster/spindle must face outer edge of routed holes b. Round aluminum balusters will not have lock tabs. Install by sliding aluminum baluster into round routed hole.

Install top rail a. Place brackets onto both ends of top rail (make sure to use brackets with side holes) b. Begin at one side of rail and align first baluster with first routed hole on bottom side of top rail and snap top rail into position c. Continue down the line of balusters installing balusters into top rail d. Install brackets

i. Using 5/32" drill bit, pre-drill first top bracket screw hole. On angle, drill through bracket hole, vinyl post jacket and vinyl insert and loosely install first screw – when using Post Install Kit. For vinyl posts installed over an existing wood 4x4 pre-drill post and install screw directly into wood 4x4.

ii. Repeat pre-drilling process for remaining three screws and tightly install screws. iii. Tighten first screw iv. Repeat steps i-iii for the second top bracket v. Pre-drill through side bracket holes into top rail and aluminum insert using 5/32" drill bit vi. Install supplied screw through side hole in top rail brackets vii. Snap covers over exposed brackets to hide screws

For angled rail installation other than at 90° or 180° purchase left to right angle brackets. Follow steps from above • Step 2 (b) – Mark 2" from end of post to allow room for bracket and expansion (this distance may vary depending on individual installation) • After Step 4 – Place brackets on posts to determine angle – Mark angle bracket at determined angle and lock in place with provided screw

step 5.Install bottom rail

a. Slide structure rail bracket cover onto ends of railing. b. Place brackets onto both ends of bottom rail (make sure to use brackets without side holes) c. Slide bottom rail in between posts and rest on top of wood spacer blocks d. Using 5/32" drill bit, pre-drill first bottom bracket screw hole. On angle, drill through bracket hole, vinyl post jacket and vinyl insert. e. Then drive the first screw through bottom bracket into post f. Repeat steps c&d for the remaining three screws for the first bottom bracket g. Repeat steps c-e for the second bottom bracket h. Snap covers over exposed brackets to hide screws

Step 9.

Step 1.Closely follow post installation instructions (or sleeve existing wood 4x4)

Remove stair railing section from clamped posts

Locate your previous marked lines on your stair railing sections and add 1" to your pre-determined lengths for bracket depth and cut all four marks with a hacksaw at 90 degrees

Note – you will have to cut through an aluminum insert in the top rail

Note – There is a separate screw pack for the top rail and bottom rail brackets

a. Slide your angle brackets top/bottom onto your rails and place your stair rail section between your posts on top of your temporarily secured deck board

b. Mark all bracket holes

c. Remove stair railing section

d. Remove temporarily secured deck board

e. Pre-drill all bracket holes with a 1/8" drill bit

f. On your top railing brackets position a drill bit on center of post (2" from either side) and between previously drilled four screw holes. Pre-drill using 5/32" drill bit all the way through the steel insert

g. Attach 2" screw into post all the way through the steel insert

Step 3.Assemble your stair railing section

a. Lock tabs on baluster/spindle must face outer edge of routed holes in rails

b. Assemble your stair railing section by snapping balusters/spindles in rails
