Premier Christy Clark is scheduled to sign a protocol agreement with the Ahousaht Nation (AFN) and AFN has invited us to the ceremony.
A plan for winding up Iisaak Forest Resource company must be adopted by the company's board in the near term to keep province moving.
Each Nation has completed their land use visions (~ 310K acres identified for protection). Agreement on borders between Nations is not resolved.
Reaching agreement on borders will not happen and we need to facilitate a shared use agreement.
Chelan County large landscape acquisition will not happen in FY16. However, new forest negotiations begin in mid-July.
Weyerhaeuser's merger with Plum Creek stalled negotiation in FY16.

Snohomish River basin coordinated investment pilot is underway and focused on providing support to an identified suite of on-the-ground conservation projects.
15+ communities have surpassed the pre-proposal stage and will submit full proposals for integrated fish and flood risk reduction projects due June 30th.
Request For Proposals criteria finalized to solicit new projects in June 2016. $14M in place for project investment ($9M Federal, $5M State).
Determining where agencies can focus and have the greatest impact in light of the range of project needs, agency authorities, and resources is challenging.
State funding is well below what is needed.

While many infrastructure managers are embracing greener solutions, creating deep institutional change will take time.
Five habitat restoration projects implemented. (Hurst Creek, Ellsworth Creek, Swauk Creek, Taneum Creek and Oak Creek)
