Once upon a time, an old woman made a gingerbread man.
She wanted to eat the gingerbread man. Something amazing happened!
The gingerbread man moved.
The gingerbread manjumped up and ran away.
“ Run, run, as fast as you can.You can’t catch me, *I am the gingerbread man,”sang the gingerbread man.
He escaped! He ran down the road.
” Run, run, as fast as you can.You can’t catch me. * I am the gingerbread man.”
The gingerbread man was very happy.
A penguin saw the gingerbread man.It wanted to eat him so he ran away.
He ran down the road and up the hill.
He ran across the bridge and past the windmill.
A goose saw the gingerbread man.It wanted to eat him so he ran way.
He ran past a windmill.He ran past a house.
A peacock saw the gingerbread man.It wanted to eat him so he ran away.
He ran past the windmills.
” Run, run, as fast as you can.You can’t catch me. * I am the gingerbread man.”
The gingerbread man was very happy. He sang.
He came to a river. He did not know how to swim. There was a crocodile in the river.
