Completely Oblivious:/ By: Katelyn CHAPTER 1 I walked into homeroom Monday morning to be greeted by Justin; he was 5.4, total ly cute with his dark hair strewn across his face and his gold eyes glowing. He was the captain of the football team and really smart. "Hey Nicolette," he said waving to me from his seat across the room. Me short compared to Justin was the captain of the cheerleading squad. I was brunette, slightly tanned and was weari ng purple heels and a purple dress to match. I waved back and dropped my books o n my desk loudly. Justin gave me a questioning look but I just gave him a small smile and shook my head. I sat there the whole period talking to my best friend, Drake, the co-captain of the football team and his girl friend, Kendra, co-capt ain of the cheerleading squad, who is my other best friend. When the bell rang I gathered up my books and gave Drake a kiss on the cheek. I grabbed Kendra's han d and pulled her to 1st period English with me. English is my favorite subject. I love to write and the teacher, Mrs. S is super nice. I'm so glad that she move d up from freshman English to sophomore English. At the end of the period Mrs. S gave us 10 minutes of free time to do whatever. I walked over and decided to ta lk to Kendra. "Jeez Nicki you have to stop obsessing over him. He has no clue you like him. Wh y don't you just get back together with Caden --- Caden being my ex-boyfriend, h e is supercute and cool but I was in love with someone else --- . You know he's still in love with you. Just look at him. He is starring at you right now. You k now you love him why can't you two just go out?" She asked the last part rhetori cally, I hope. "I just really love him. I love Caden too but I just... ugh! I do n't know what to do. I want to tell him I like him but I'm afraid he won't like me back. I don't want to string Caden along when I still love someone else. I wi sh I could get back together with him..... but I... can't," I whimpered. The res t of the morning passed quickly and the next thing I knew I was sitting next to Justin in Science. "Hey Justin," I smiled at him as he sat down. "Hey Nick. What 's up?!" He asked with care in his voice. "Same old, same old. Ugh, we have to d o research for debates today," I complained to him. "It can't be that bad," he laughed at my complaining. We were half way through t he period and me and Justin were continuously fighting about what part of the de bate we wanted to do. "You guys are fighting like an old married couple," Mr. N laughed at us and laughed harder at our faces when he said that. I could assume we looked extremely shocked he actually said that too us. I mean Mr. N is cool a nd all but I never imagined he would say that. He's a teacher. He walked away ch uckling and I laid my head down on Justin's shoulder. I closed my eyes and just enjoyed the moment. The next thing I know I feel Justin shaking me awake. Crap I must have fallen asleep. I looked down panicking when I remembered only half my worksheet was done but when I looked at it, it was completely finished in my ha nd writing. I looked over to see Justin smiling at me sweetly. "Thank you," I whispered smiling sweetly back. "Justin your hair is so soft," Am anda said while... petting? his head. I knew his hair was extremely soft and tha t Amanda is obsessed with him. He knew too and gave me a pleading/disgusted look . I threw Amanda a dirty look and she pulled her hand away from Justins head whil e frowning. "Thanks." Justin leaned over and whispered in my ear. "Do you want t o hang out later at the beach?" I looked over at him. We were so close, our nose s almost touching. "As friends?" He added quickly pulling back. "Yea I'd like th at," I said smiling when he did. "Awesome, I'll pick you up around 6 okay?" He a sked. "Yep that's fine," I said. "See you later," I said as the bell rang. "See you later," he yelled as I walked out the door. Social Studies flew by with Mr. M teaching it is the best class of the day . The bell rang and I waved to Justin as he walked out the door. I have to wait until 2nd bell to catch a ride with Tammi my other good friend. Second bell fina lly rang and I grabbed my backpack to go meet Tammi at her locker. I found her t here ready to go. We walked out and got into her Mercedes Benz. She dropped me o
