Contest

About the Contest

• The purpose is to celebrate reading and to have fun

• It is intended to be a family or class project

• This project is completely optional. Participation is not required.

Contest Rules• Pumpkins should represent a favorite

book character.

• On the entry form you must have the title and author of the book written on the form.

• Get the book information first before even starting to decorate the pumpkin.

• Absolutely no carved pumpkins.

• To decorate you can use paper, glue, paint, markers, pipe cleaners, fabric, or other craft items on the pumpkin.

• Let your creativity soar!

• Do not write your name anywhere on the pumpkin

• Mrs. Hunter will secretly code your pumpkin when you turn it in.

• Families with more than one students may enter the Family Project category.

• Families with preschoolers may also enter this category.

Contest Dates• Pumpkins may be turned in from Mon. Oct.

18 to Thurs. Oct. 21.

• Judging will take place on Friday Oct. 22

• Pumpkins may be up and taken home by Oct. 29.

•Popcorn party and $25 Walmart Gift Card for the top teacher/staff pumpkin.
