Our storyFor over 50 years, Rapid Rack Industries has manufactured material handlingstorage products for industrial, commercial and consumer markets. Ourcapabilities include heavy-duty boltless shelving, two- and three-level catwalksystems, mobile aisle systems and Gorilla Rack consumer products. We offerwork benches, carts, drawers and other accessories to enhance the use of ourshelving products.

Rapid Rack introduced boltless shelving over 35 years ago andrevolutionized the shelving industry. The sturdiness and ease ofassembly of the boltless product rendered the bolted style ofshelving all but obsolete.

In April 2005 we expanded to the eastern United States with adistriubtion center in Nashville, Tennessee to provide the samehigh-quality product and exemplary customer service that hasallowed us to capture the largest market share in the west.

This versatile rack system can be used forhundreds of storage applications. Damage in transit

Seismic zone map1994 Uniform Building Code zone map. Zones are identified by thenumbers from 0 to 4. Seismic zone factors are assigned to each zone:

Zone 0 = 0 Zone 1 = 0.75

Zone 2A = 0.15 Zone 2B = 0.20

Zone 3 = 0.03 Zone 4 = 0.04

Each zone also has specific structural detailing requirements.

Floor area shared by unit multiplied by floor rating must be deductedfrom total unit capacity.

1.5 ft. + 3 ft. + 1.5 ft. x 3 ft. = 18 sq. ft.18 sq. ft x 125 lbs./sq. ft.** = 2250 lbs.
