R & R" COLLECTION TO HELP WITH RENOVATIONS

Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and Renovation" of our Church Buildings. The "R & R"

Collections will be helping us, in addition to the funds from the

Generations of Faith Campaign, to pay for the Renovation. We

ask parishioners to be as generous as possible. We THANK

everyone for their sacrifices and generous support.

GOOD FRIDAY-“VIACRUCIS” VOLUNTEER PRACTICE

There will be “Via Crucis” practice for Good Friday on

Sundays, March 18th and 25th at 2:00pm in the church and on

Tuesday, March 20th at 8:00pm and Wednesday, March 28th

at 8:00pm in the church.

PARISH COUNCIL - TODAY Sunday, March 18th Our next parish council meeting is today Sunday, March 18th

at 1:30pm in the Chapel. All are invited.

HEALING MASS We will have our Healing Mass (in Spanish) this month on

Monday, March 19th (instead of March 26th) at 7:00pm,

instead of 6:30pm.

DIOCESAN LENTEN RETREAT (IN SPANISH) The annual Diocesan Lenten Retreat Day at the Immaculate

Conception Center in Douglaston is Saturday, March 24, 8:30

a.m. at 3:00 p.m. If you wish to attend, you must register at the

Rectory with a deposit of $10. The cost $35 is due by Tuesday,

March 20th.

CHANGE IN MASS TIME - WED, MARCH 21st The (Spanish) Mass on Wednesday, March 21st will be at

6:30pm (instead) of 7:30pm.

MEETING FOR MINISTERS, LECTORS, AND USHERS

-WED, MARCH 21st AT 7:15PM There will be a (Bi-Lingual) meeting for the Eucharistic

Ministers, Lectors, and Ushers who will be serving at the

Masses and Liturgies during Holy Week (Palm Sunday, Holy

Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil) on Wednesday,

March 21st at 7:15pm after the 6:30pm Spanish Mass in

Church. We ask for all who will be serving at the Holy Week

Liturgies to please attend this IMPORTANT Meeting.

TUESDAY OF HOLY WEEK - NO EVENING MASS -

CLEANING OF CHURCH There will be NO Evening Mass on Tuesday, March 27th, as

all the priests of the Diocese will be with Bishop DiMarzio at

the Chrism Mass. On that evening, Tuesday, March 27th, we

invite volunteers who would like to help clean the Church to

come to the Church any time between 4:00pm and 8:00pm.

MASS IN ENGLISH ON HOLY THURSDAY This year instead of a Bilingual Mass, we will have two

Masses on the evening of Holy Thursday (March 29th) . There

will be a Mass in English at 6:00pm and a Mass in Spanish at

7:30pm. Both Masses will be the “Mass of the Lords' Supper”,

which includes “The Washing of the Feet” and a Procession

with the Blessed Sacrament at the conclusion of the Mass.

CCJ YOUTH MINISTRY –INVITES ALL YOUTH “CCJ Youth Ministry, invites all young people in the parish, to

join us as we prepare for Youth Easter 2018, a two-day retreat

experience that will help us reignite our relationship with God.

Come, learn about God’s plan for your life an make friends as

well as becoming part of a community that walks with Jesus”.

Youth Easter, March 30th-31st. More information will be

available next week.

TRIP TO LANCASTER Our trip to Lancaster this year is to see the play “JESUS” on

June 23rd, 2018. To register, a deposit of $25 is due at the

Rectory. If you are interested please call Grace Olavarria at

NOVENA AND FEAST OF DIVINE MERCY The Sunday after Easter (April 8th) is celebrated as the "Feast

of Divine Mercy". The Novena in preparation for the Feast

begins on Good Friday. For those who would like to partici-

pate in the Novena, our parish Divine Mercy Prayer Group

will be praying the "Chaplet of Divine Mercy" in Church,

beginning on Monday, April 2nd at 6:00pm, and each evening

until the Feast Day. Flyers will be available in the church next

week with more details.

OUTDOOR STATIONS OF THE CROSS

with ST. AGATHA and OLPH FRIDAY, MARCH 23RD

On Friday, March 23rd at 7:00pm, we will join with the

parishioners of St. Agatha's and OLPH for an "Outdoor

Stations of the Cross". We will meet in the

Lower Church of OLPH (5th Ave. & 59th

St.) and process along 5th Ave. to 43rd

Street. We will enter Sunset Park at 6th

Ave. and 43rd Street for the final stations,

closing Prayer and Blessing. The Stations

will be prayed in FOUR Languages: English, Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese.

HOLY WEEK ENVELOPES - MISSING FROM PACKET

There was an error in the most recent packet of envelopes

which registered parishioners receive in the mail. The

company failed to include envelopes for: Holy Thursday,

Good Friday, and the 2nd Collection on Easter Sunday. They

recognized the error, contacted us, and will send a special

mailing with the three missing envelopes. All registered

parishioners should receive them before Holy Week.

El grupo de San Judas tendrá una noche de oración y adoración

MARTES DE LA SEMANA SANTA - NO HABRA MISA

EN LA NOCHE PARA LA LIMPIEZA DE LA IGLESIA

No habrá Misa vespertina el martes 27 de marzo, ya que todos

los sacerdotes de la Diócesis estarán con Mons. DiMarzio en la

Misa Crismal. En esa noche, el martes 27 de marzo invitamos a

voluntarios que quieran ayudar a limpiar la Iglesia, por favor

venir a las 7:00 pm.

DIA DE RETIRO DE CUARESMA DIOCESANA El Retiro Cuaresmal Diocesano anual, en el Centro de la

Inmaculada Concepción (Douglaston) es el sábado, marzo 24.

El costo total de $35 debe pagarse el martes 20 de marzo.

MISA EN INGLÉS EL JUEVES SANTO Este año, en lugar de una misa bilingüe, tendremos dos Misas

en Jueves Santo (29 de marzo). Habrá una misa en inglés a las

6:00p.m. y una misa en español a las 7:30p.m. Ambas misas

serán la "misa de los señores", que incluye "El lavado de los

pies" y una procesión con el Santísimo Sacramento al final de

la misa.

CCJ MINISTERIO DE JOVENES - Invitamos a los Jóvenes CCJ Ministerio de Jóvenes, invita a todos los jóvenes de la

parroquia, a unirse con nosotros mientras nos preparamos para

la Pascua Juvenil 2018, una experiencia de retiro de dos días

que nos ayudará a reavivar nuestra relación con Dios. Ven,

NOVENA Y FIESTA DE DIVINA MISERICORDIA

El domingo después de Pascua (8 de abril) se celebra la "Fiesta de la Divina Misericordia". La novena en preparación para la

fiesta comienza el Viernes Santo. Para aquellos que deseen

participar en la Novena, nuestro Grupo de la Divina Misericor-

dia parroquial rezará la "Coronilla de la Divina Misericordia"

en la Iglesia, comenzando el lunes 2 de abril a las 6:00p.m., y

cada tarde hasta el Día de la Fiesta. Tendremos volantes

El viernes, 23 de marzo a las 7:00pm, nos uniremos con los

feligreses de Santa Agatha y OLPH para una procesión del

Vía Crucis. Nos reuniremos en el nivel de abajo de OLPH

(5th Ave. Y 59th St.) y procesaremos por la

5th Ave. hasta la 43rd St. entraremos al

parque por la 6th Ave. y la 43rd St. para la

última estación, oración final y bendición.

Las estaciones serán en CUATRO idiomas:

Ingles, Español, Chino y Vietnamés.

SOBRES QUE FALTARON DE SEMANA SANTA

Hubo un error en el paquete más reciente de sobres que los

parroquianos registrados reciben por correo. La Compañía no

incluyó sobres para: Jueves Santo, Viernes Santo y la 2ª Colecta del Domingo de Pascua. La Compañía reconoció el

error y se puso en contacto con nosotros. Enviarán un correo

The 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal has begun!

During the next few weeks, many parishioners and those

who have made a pledge in the past will be receiving

materials in the mail. We encourage you to make a pledge or

a gift as soon as possible by returning the Pledge Form by

mail, bringing it to the Rectory Office, or by dropping it in

the Collection Basket.

Our goal for this year’s ACA is $39,425.

All donations exceeding the goal will be returned to the par-

ish, which will go towards paying off the balance from the

renovations of the “Pope Francis Parish Center”.

¡La Campaña Católica Anual 2018 ha comenzado!

Durante las próximas semanas, muchos feligreses y aquellos que

han hecho una promesa en el pasado recibirán materiales por

correo. Los alentamos a hacer un compromiso o un regalo lo antes

posible devolviendo el Formulario de Promesa por correo,

llevándolo a la Oficina de la Rectoría, o colocándolo en la

Canasta de la Colecta.
