Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and Renovation" of our Church Buildings. The "R & R"

Collections will be helping us, in addition to the funds

from the Generations of Faith Campaign, to pay for the

Renovation. We ask all parishioners to be as generous as

possible. We THANK everyone for their sacrifices and

generous support!!

CHANGE OF MASS TIME - TUESDAY, APRIL 24TH

The Evening (Spanish) Mass on Tuesday, April 24th will

be at 6:30pm, instead of 7:30pm. After the Mass (at

7:15pm) there will be a family Rosary and Holy Hour for

Families and Vocations.

MASS OF HOPE AND HEALING

All are invited to come together on Wednesday, April

25th, 2018 at 7:00pm day to pray for healing for all those

impacted by sexual abuse at the parish of Saint Nicholas

of Tolentine (located at 150-75 Goethals Avenue, Ja-

maica, NY) The Main celebrant will be Bishop Nicho-

las DiMarzio.

MASS AND CONFESSIONS –THURSDAY, APRIL 26

We will have a bilingual Mass on Thursday, April 26th at

6:30pm followed by Confessions at 7:00pm in the

church for students who will be receiving their

confirmation this year. Please keep these candidates in

your prayers while they prepare to receive the sacrament

of confirmation.

2018 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL - COMMITMENT WEEKEND As we have been announcing in recent weeks, we are grate-

ful that 66 parishioners (families) have already made a Gift

or Pledge to the 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA),

pledging $9,901 towards our goal of $39,000. This

weekend we will be asking ALL our parishioners to make a

Gift or Pledge to the 2018 ACA. You donation will help

our Bishop, Nicholas DiMarzio, and the ministry of the

Church throughout our Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens

and, if we go over our Goal, your Donation will also help

us to pay for the Renovation of our Pope Francis Parish Center. Materials will be available in Church today and in

the weeks to come for you to make you Pledge or Gift to

the ACA. we THANK All of our parishioners and families

for their wonderful generosity in support of our Parish and

our Diocese!!!

OUR PHONES HAVE BEEN OUT OF SERVICE

Due to a problem with Verizon, the phones in the

Rectory Office have been out of Service since Monday,

April 16th through Thursday morning, April 19th. We

have been told that they would be back in Service on

Thursday afternoon. We will give an update at the

weekend Masses. We apologize for any inconvenience.

**SCHOOL OF RELIGION NEWS**

FIRST COMMUNION PRACTICE There will be First Communion practice on

Saturday, May 12th from 12:30pm-2:30pm in the Church.

CONFIRMATION RETREAT

The Confirmation Retreat will be from Friday, May 4th-

Sunday, May 6th in Mt. Alvernia, Long Island.

PEGGY FORD, CSJ MEMORIAL & LIGHTS OF

INSPIRATION- SCHOLARSHIPS

We are happy to announce that, once again, this year we

will be offering TWO Scholarships in honor of Captain,

Dennis Morales, NYPD and Sr. Peggy Ford, CSJ in the

amount of $2,000 each. Any parishioner who will be

entering College in September 2018 or who is currently

attending College is eligible to apply to receive one of

these Scholarships. Application information and other

details are available on our website and in the Flyers that

are available in Church or in the Rectory Office. We

will also be offering the "Lights of Inspiration Scholarships" again this year, thanks to the fundraising

efforts of our CCJ Youth Group and the Donors who

sponsored Christmas Trees. More information on the

Lights of Inspiration Scholarships will be available in

the coming weeks.

MOTHER’S DAY NOVENA

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13th. You

can remember your Mother, living or

deceased, with a beautiful Mother’s Day

Novena of Masses. Mother’s Day

envelopes are available in the church

vestibule or you can stop by the rectory

MONTHLY HOLY HOUR FOR FAMILIES &

VOCATIONS - TUESDAY, APRIL 24TH

Our next Monthly Hour for Families and Vocations

will be on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00pm in Church.

The Holy Hour will begin with a "Family Rosary". We

encourage all families and parishioners to come

together for this special time of prayer during this

"Year of Vocations".

COLECTA R & R PARA AYUDAR CON LAS

RENOVACIONES DEL CENTRO PAPA FRANCISCO

La Segunda Colecta de hoy es para la "Reparación y

Renovación" de nuestros edificios. Las Colectas "R & R"

nos ayudarán, además de los fondos de la Campaña de

Generaciones de Fe, a pagar por la Renovación. Les

SEMINARIO DE VIDA EN EL ESPIRITU

El grupo de oración “Dios Con Nosotros” de San Miguel

les invita a un seminario de Vida en el Espíritu,

empezando lunes, 23 de abril hasta junio 11. El primer

tema será “El amor de Dios El Padre”..Empezando con el

rosario a las 5:30pm seguido con la Santa Eucaristía a las

6:30pm. Circulo de Oración terminara a las 9:30pm. El

seminario se llevara acabo en la iglesia de San Miguel

(calle 42 y la 4 avenida). Todos están invitados.

CAMBIO DE HORA PARA LA MISA -

EL 24 DE ABRIL

La Misa de la noche (en español) el martes, 24 de abril

será a las 6:30p.m., en lugar de las 7:30p.m. Después de

la Misa (a las 7:15pm) habrá un Rosario y Hora Santa

para Familias y Vocaciones.

MISA Y CONFESIONES -EL DÍA, 26 DE ABRIL

Tendremos misa bilingüe el jueves, 26 de abril a las

6:30p.m. y habrán confesiones a las 7:00p.m. en la iglesia

para los estudiantes que recibirán su confirmación este

año. Mantenga a estos candidatos en sus oraciones

mientras se preparan para recibir el sacramento de la

confirmación.

2018 Campaña Católica Anual-Fin de semana de

Compromiso Como hemos estado anunciando en las últimas semanas,

estamos agradecidos de que 66 feligreses (familias) ya

hayan hecho un obsequio o una promesa a la Campaña

Católica Anual 2018 (ACA), prometiendo $9,901 para
