Additional software required Microsoft® .NET Framework 4.0 or

higher


1. System Requirements



(1) Insert DVD in your computer’s DVD drive.

(2) Use Windows® Explorer to activate

DVD and double click “Start.exe” (1).

(3) Follow the instructions on the screen. Installation takes about 15 minutes.

When SSC is successfully installed, the link “STIHL Service Communication” appears on the Desktop. A double click on this link starts SSC.


2. Installing SSC

(1) Start SSC The home screen is opened.

(2) Click on “Catalog” The catalog is opened.

(1) Click on “File” in the menu bar

(2) Click on “Price Import”

(3) Click on “...” Dialog box for selection of price list

opens.

(4) Navigate to and select required price list. File format of price list is “.txt”.

(5) Click on “Open” A preview of the price list opens.


4. Import Price List

A surcharge on the list price given in the price list can be entered in SSC. (1) Enter surcharge in percent The surcharge is applied to all prices in

the price list when it is imported.

(2) Click on “Import” The price list is imported and the

surcharge calculated. A message confirms a successful import.

(3) Restart SSC A restart is necessary to delete previous

prices in the browser’s cache.

Service Communication is now ready to use.


4. Import Price List

(1) Click on “?” in the menu bar

(2) Click on “Check for Updates” Your computer must be connected to

the Internet. A popup shows available updates.

(3) Click on “Download” Download runs in background. You can continue working with SSC. A popup shows when the download has

been successfully completed.

(4) Click on “Install” Service Communication is closed,

updated and restarted automatically.
