• With a capacity of 2 tones per hour, the Stericare plant has the biggest capacity in Romania for processing medical residues.

• Stericare got all the legal operating licenses and shall be monitored by three institutions authorized for the evaluation of the septic and emissions level

• Stericare collects and sterilizes all categories of infectious residues, except for human tissue and pharmaceuticals

• Stericare brings in Romania a tested technology, that reduces the need for incineration

• The residue neutralizing system proposed by Stericare does not generate toxic emissions

• The result of the complete sterilization of the residues is a non-dangerous residue

• The collected medical residues are deposited into special containers, according to the current laws and regulations (cardboard and plastic). These containers are later destroyed in the process of neutralizing the residues.

• The residues are first minced and then sterilized in a dry and hot environment, at more than 150oC

• The remnants are cooled and compacted, then safely deposited into ecological warehouses

• This procedure does not generate any residues or emissions, neither into the water, nor into the air.

• The whole residue processing procedure is monitored and controlled by a fully computerized system.
