    STEP is a Student Trainee Exchange Programme that enables law students and young lawyers to gainfrst hand experience o the substansive and procedural law as well as the culture o another country.

    Te traineeships are between 2 weeks and 18 months and can take place in any law related area: law rms,courts, public institutions, universities, banks, in-house legal departments, consulting rms and internatio-

    nal organisations.

    Each year ELSA oers traineeship opportunities all over Europe and occasionally in the other parts o theworld. Beore and during the traineeship, ELSA provides assistance in nding accommodation, applyingor visas, when necessary, and organising social events to involve the trainee in the daily lie o the localcommunity.
