Step-by-Step Guide for Recording a Message with Proclaim Messenger

Using the iPad Proclaim Messenger is your personal video messaging tool. Here's a guide containing the key steps to help get you started recording a message using your iPad device. Log into Proclaim Messenger Log in. To go to Proclaim Messenger, touch on the Proclaim Messenger icon from your iPad landing page. It will prompt you for username and password which are case sensitive.

Record a Video Message From the Home screen, you have the two options of recording a video: Record Video Only or Record With Content. You can also select a previously saved video with Select Video. Record a video without content. To record a video without content, touch on the Record Video Only option.

This will access your device’s camera and bring up your video. To start the recording, press the red recording button on the right side of the screen. Press it again to stop the recording. You now have the option to play what you just recorded, retake the video or use the video.

If you plan to use the video, you then have the option to Just Save it to your device or Save & Share it immediately. If you press the Just Save option, you can always select the video later and send out. If you press the Save & Share option, it takes you to the Send Email screen.

Record a video with content. To record a video with content, touch on the Record with Content option.

This will take you to your device’s albums. First select the album you want to select content from, such as your camera roll. Then simply touch on the photos you would like to include as content in your video message. When finished, touch the DONE button in the upper right screen.

You now have the option to record a new video to use with the selected content or use an existing video already on your device. Make your selection. This will bring you to the screen where you can record your new message with your pre-selected content. To start the recording, touch on the red recording button in the center of the screen. You may either swipe through your content to the right of your video or touch on the content item in the playlist underneath your video to have it appear in your message. Stop the recording by retouching the red recording button. Press on the blue Use button when done. This will upload your video and take you to the Send Email screen.

Send an Email When you record a video only or video with content message with Proclaim Messenger on your device, it will either give you the option or automatically take you to Send Email screen. If you choose to Just Save your video, you can later access it by the Select Video option on the Home screen. Select an existing video to send. To send a previously recorded video, first press the Select Video option. You will have the option to Play it or Use it. Press the Use button to start the email sending process.

Send an email. To email your video message, type in the email address in the TO field or touch on the + icon to access your contacts. The Subject field acts as the subject line for the email as well as the bolded message title that appears in the actual message and in the notifications that you receive when someone watches your message. You can customize the body of the email by typing in the Message field.

You have the option to set the default video view size for the message, although the viewer of your message may manually change the size of your video as they watch your video message. The small video size option will display your video smaller than your content. The medium video size option will display your video larger than your content. The large video size will only display your video with no content. If you recorded a video without content, it will show the default content graphic that has been uploaded to your account. Select the large video size display if you do not wish this graphic to show. Touch on the Send Email button to send your email. Helpful Tips Email watched notifications. You will receive an instant notification email when someone watches your video if this option is turned on in the desktop version.

Account branding. It is a good idea to send yourself the video first so you can check out what branding is currently in place for your account. Account branding is a paid for service that covers three images: the background image of the message, the graphic that displays in the email, and the graphic that displays when you record a video without content.

Desktop account. All messages created with the iPad are saved within the account and can be accessed through the desktop.
