VISITING TO DONCASTER?

Doncaster is a market town, rich with history, situated at the southern edge of the county of Yorkshire. It is famous for many things, not least the presence of Doncaster racecourse, the large amount of striking Regency and Georgian architecture and a rich industrial heritage, particularly in regards to the railways. The town sits on the river Don and the surviving architecture tells the story of the way in which it has changed through the centuries, with visitors still able to explore and admire Roman walls, Saxon Churches, a Norman Castle and a mansion house dating from 1749.

LOCATION:

The earl of Doncaster hotel is just such an establishment. It is a 4 star luxury hotel boasting an absolutely perfect position directly equidistant between Doncaster racecourse and the town centre. The first thing which strikes any visitor to the hotel is its richly individual art deco appearance, a look which recalls the fact that it has been welcoming guests since opening in 1938. The clean lines and smooth surfaces of the aesthetic conjure forth a bygone era when class and style were more important than simply getting things done and when opulence and good taste managed to go hand in hand.
