Verbs are sometimes used with prepositions to create a single unit of meaning.

Example:

On = I get on the bus at home.get Off= I get off the bus at school.

Up = Get up of that chair immediately and help me.get Out= Get out of that building, it’s an earthquake.

In = Open the door of the car and get in, we are late!get Over = we couldn't get over the river

because of the floods.
