Math Dual Enrollment Program

Students have same Homework, Quizzes, Tests, and Final Exam as LSU students using MyMathLab (MML)

High school teachers present 1/3 of the face-to-face classroom time; students work 2/3 of the face-to-face time in a computer lab environment with teacher support

District pays $300 per student per course and buys each student a one-year MML subscription ($50)

Math College Readiness Program

Teachers become “certified” in the College Readiness Program by successfully completing the summer workshop training requirements

Districts involved in LSU dual enrollment program can send other district math teachers to summer workshop

Content available for Alg I, Geometry, Alg II, Advanced Math, Business Calculus, AP Calculus, and 6 through 8th grade math

All courses aligned with the LCC and the CCSS

The Plan Professional development for 8-days during the summer in LSU

Math Lab; DE teachers attend two additional days of workshops

LSU math faculty and high school mentor teachers facilitate workshop (LSU Lab School, Tara, Sherwood)

Workshop content 1. Technology training in MyMathLab 2. Pedagogy of redesigned course delivery3. Content mastery of math homework for teachers
