- Create a small, academic learning community - Promote students’ achievement by creating a collaborative environment in which all stakeholders together – parents, students, teachers, administration

- Provide an enriching STEM educational experience through the problem-based learning model that is reputable and achieves results for kids

Lockers & Backpacks• Store backpack in assigned locker• 6th & 7th Grade lockers are at Nimitz

• Before/after school, during lunch• 8th Grade lockers are at Lee

ALL middle school STEM students must turn lunch money in to the Nimitz cafeteria

Each student is to participate in at least one extra-curricular activity.

STEM Academy Community Service Requirements

STEM students are to complete annual community service hours, as follows:

6th grade – 5 hours7th grade – 10 hours8th grade – 10 hours

Faculty will organize a few service opportunities during the year for students to participate in collectively, while representing STEM Academy.

• Typically reserved for students who are struggling in an area of academia• Initiated by the Teacher• Provide a valid email
