Middle School Mission WeekThis coming Monday, July 30, our middle school students begin alocal mission week project! We will be partnering with RebuildUpstate, an organization dedicated to providing safe housing forelderly and disabled adults and low income families through homerepairs. Join us in prayer for our students and leaders as they workin the hot July and August sun in order to love our Upstateneighbors as Jesus calls us to. We look forward to sharing ourexperiences with you!

Interfaith Host Week isAugust 12-19

Volunteers needed!Our next week to host homeless families is August 12-19. It is important to check your calendar andsign up early! Please see the list below of volunteer opportunities available and contact Chris Mathewsto sign up to share your gifts in this ministry of Interfaith Hospitality (in cooperation with AldersgateUnited Methodist Church & First Christian Church). Sunday school classes or small groups mayAdopt-a-Day and staff all positions for that day. Where applicable, please note which days volunteersare needed – Sunday, Monday, or Friday. Youth Ministry NewsMontreat Recap!Our high school students and leaders returned from a wonderful week in Montreat this past Saturday.This year’s conference theme, Lift Every Voice, challenged us to listen for God’s voice amidst thecompeting noises in our world, pay attention to our own God-given voice through our talents andpassions, and empower others to use their unique voices in the world. We were encouraged throughscripture, discussion, fellowship, and time soaking in the beautiful sights of Montreat. If you happen tosee one of our high schoolers, be sure to ask them about their experience!

Waffle Cone WednesdayAs we look towards August and close out the summer, all of our youth areencouraged to join us for some fellowship time at TCBY! We will remember oursummer experiences, laugh about our memories, and look to the new year inexcited anticipation for all God will continue to do through us, all while eatingsome delicious fro-yo. Rising 6th graders are invited to join us on August 8th and15th to get to know their new youth group friends! We can’t wait to see you!

Children's Ministry News

Our children had a great time at “Funday Monday” hosted by the John KnoxKindergarten/PDO Program! Scavenger hunts, balloon animals, jump houses,

and snow cones! Fun was had by all!

A Faith-based,Registered K5 ClassThe decision to enroll a young five year old into akindergarten class can be a difficult one. We offera registered K5 class with a low teacher tostudent ratio. Ms. Mathews has been a treasureto our program for twenty years. John KnoxKindergarten has experience helping familiesweigh their options. Run/Walk for UnitedMinistriesThe United Ministries’ Transformation Walk,sponsored by Bon Secours Health System, isnow including a 5k run! Join us for the 29th annualevent on Saturday, September 22 nd. Registrationbegins at 8am, with the event kicking off at 9. TheWalk is FREE. The fee to run is $25 for early birdregistration (ends July 31st) and $30 beginningon August 1 st. Our new location – beginning atFirst Baptist Church, Greenville – will allow us towalk along the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
