DesignAll of BW Industries steel section property informationand load tables have been independently assessedand verified under the “SCI Assessed” Scheme“Calculation of the member resistances”. The sectionproperties are calculated in accordance with BS-EN1993-1-3 (Design of steel structures. Part 1-3 Generalrules – Supplementary rules for cold-formedmembers and sheeting BSI 2006).

They are provided as an aid to designers andspecifiers to allow selection of the optimum section.

ManufactureThe information on any fabrication drawings anddetails is programmed into a Cam data file which istransmitted directly to the rolling or fabrication plant.

All major components are normally ink jet printed toshow what they are and from which material theyhave been formed.

This process is so that there is a trail which showsexactly what has been manufactured.

Dispatch and SupplyBW Industries have a team of experienced personnelwho hand pick the items for dispatch and load theseonto the vehicles which have been arranged foronward transportation. Depending on the end usersrequirements, specialist vehicles with on board liftingequipment can be arranged to facilitate material off-loading at the delivery address.

CE MarkingBW Industries Limited “Factory Production Control”was third part assessed against EN 1090-1:2009+A12011, by SGS UK. We achieved accreditation toEXC2 and standard ISO 14731 and ISO 3834.

This certification covers the following products:Steel Structural Purlins, Mezzanine Steel Channels,Fabricated Structural Steel Assemblies andSureBUILD Engineered Wall Panels.

Certification

BW Industries have developed steel sectionproperty information and load tables basedon the methodology in the relevant Europeanstandards.

All technical information has been developedby a chartered structural engineer and hasbeen independently checked and verified bythe SCI.

The BW Industries SureBUILDFraming System is a sophisticatedpre-panelised system that is rivetedtogether within our factory, anddelivered to site in fully formedpanels ready for installation. It isloadbearing and offers a fast andefficient alternative to moretraditional methods of construction.

The BW Industries SFS Framing isused for continuous, infill and highbay separating walls. We have arange of standard stud and tracksections that are suitable for theseapplications.

The BW Industries Partition and DryLining Sections are used for drylining and partitions to create nonload bearing internal walls inresidential, industrial andcommercial structures.

We can also manufacture bespokesection sizes with our vast range ofmachinery, which is capable ofrolling stud and track sections from50mm to 500mm deep with a rangeof gauges from 0.5mm to 5mm.

BW Industries have installed a SureBUILD Framingrolling mill, housed in by a purpose built factory, toproduce a range of steel framing that can besupplied in either stick form or fully assembledpanels. The assembled panels are fitted togetherusing a sophisticated Rivet System, which is bothtime and cost effective.

The SureBUILD light gauge steel framing is asophisticated load bearing wall framing system thatoffers fast erection and completion and alsoincreased stability and durability. It is ideal for off-site construction, house building and multi-storey applications. Fully load-bearing andnon-load bearing options are available, and we canprovide in-house design and drawing facilities.Complete with fully-integrated 3D CAD/CAM designsoftware by Vertex Systems and combined with theproduction facilities and the experience of BWIndustries, this product offers performance,predictability and design flexibility.

Vertex Building Design (BD) is an advanced BuildingInformation Modelling (BIM) software package forcold-rolled steel framed construction. Utilising BIMtechnology, this stand-alone software maximisesproductivity and accuracy by generating wall paneldrawings, material reports and manufacturing dataall from one source. To save on design time, wallframing drawings are automatically produced, withevery component having a unique identificationnumber. Once the design is complete,manufacturing data is transferred directly from theVertexBD software to the BW Industries SureBUILDrolling line where each part is rolled and printed withits unique number.

The components produced offer a flush finish panel,and the sections can be pre-punched to offerservice slots or holes to suit your individualapplication.


SureBUILD Framing SystemOverview


BW Industries SureBUILD sections are supplied intwo standard widths of 75mm and 100mm

Gauges for the 75mm section comprise 1.0, 1.2and 1.5mm

Gauges for the 100mm section comprise 1.2, 1.5and 2.0mm *2mm from a lesser yield

Used for load bearing applications

Full stand-alone structural system

Eliminates the need for hot rolled steel or aconcrete primary frame

Swaging of the vertical studs allows for a flushfinish wall profile which facilitates fixing ofboarding or linings.

The bottom corners of the studs are trimmedprior to folding the section to allow the stud to sitdirectly onto the face of the bottom track thusgiving direct transfer of vertical load rather thanthrough the fixings

Window and door openings are easilyaccommodated

Bracing formed from the stud section can beincorporated within the wall structure, which isstrong both in tension and compression thereforeeliminating the need for external cross bracing.

BW Industries have the ability and capacity tosupply SureBUILD in either stick form or fullyassembled panels

The steel gauges are core steel thickness plus thestandard (Z275) zinc coating thickness of0.04mm.

Sections are generally manufactured from thegrade S450 steel with a minimum yield strength of450N/mm² (2mm from lesser yield)

BW Industries SFS range is used forinfill panels, continuous walling andhigh separating walls.

We supply our cold formedgalvanised SFS sections in stickform for assembly on site, andmanufacture the components cut tolength to suit individualapplications. They can be suppliedin either plain lengths or pre-punched for services etc.

BW Industries SFS framing offersmany advantages over traditionalmethods of construction such asspeed of erection and completionon site, increased stability anddurability and reduction of weight.

Our sections are robust andsufficiently light for site handlingand they don’t suffer from shrinkageor settlement in comparison totimber and masonry.

The benefits are both time and costeffective, making our SFS framing apopular option to many.

Partition and Dry Lining walls aremade up from light gauge sectionsthat create the internal walls inresidential, industrial andcommercial structures.

BW Industries Partition and DryLining range lead the way in lightgauge pre-galvanised steelsections. It can be used to makenon load bearing walls inrefurbishment and new builddevelopments.

There are many advantages thatcome with using BW PartitionSections such as minimal snagging, no shrinking or splitting and alsothe resistance of fire, insects androt. They can be easily insulatedand boarded to achieve fire andacoustics ratings subject tospecification requirements.

Our cold formed galvanisedcomponents are roll formed in stick form for assembly on site. We produce them cut to length tosuit individual applications in eitherplain lengths or pre-punched forservices etc.

This modern technique ofmanufacture allows for fabricationof components to much bettertolerances than traditional methodsof construction.

Speed on site and ease ofinstallation reduces costs, makingthe BW Industries system a timeand cost effective solution againstdirect material comparisons.


Partition and Dry Lining SectionsOverview

BW Industries Partition and Dry Lining sections range in depth from 50mm to 100mm with a range of gauges from 0.5mm to 1.2mm

Used to make non-load bearing walls in refurbishment and new build developments

Sections provide long term flexibility and ease of adaption and are dimensionally accurate

Freedom from shrinkage and splitting

Weight reduction in comparison to masonry and concrete methods

Safer and easier site installations

Resistance against fire, insects and rot

More time and cost effective to traditional methods of construction

Fast construction on site which results in earlier completion times


Sections are light gauge cold-formed pre-galvanised steel sheet with a Z275 coating

The stated gauges are core steel thickness plus the standard (Z275) zinc coating thickness of 0.04mm

Sections are generally manufactured from grade S450 steel with a minimum yield strength of 450M/mm²
