Sometimes I get angry.

The thermometer helps to show my feelings.
The green is for when I am calm.
The red is when I am really angry.
The orange is for when I am getting a bit angry. is for when I am calm.
The things that make me angry are:
• When my family annoys me• Too much noise• My brother asking me for stuff• If someone turns the TV off when I’m watching it• Putting the timer on, it feels too short• If I ask for something and people say ‘no’• If I can’t have juice• If someone says ‘shut up’ (especially the kids on
the bus)
I am relaxed and quiet and I talk to people using
my nice words.
When I am calm….
When I am a little bit angry:
Yelling, pacing, asking questions repetitively,
When I am really angry
Yelling, hitting, kicking, throwing things, breaking things, threatening to kill
To calm myself down I can:
Ask for a back scratch
•Deep breathing
•Muscle relaxing game
•Have timeout in my room
•Cuddles with Mum
•Play with my army men in the dirt

When I am calm, quiet, and talk with nice words, Mum will be happy.
They will say “it’s great that you are being calm. Good boy!”
