3:45 a.m. Naomie's Testimony of WhatHappened Through the Night

] talked to you last at 10:30p. m. last night. TheLord allowed you to have your natural strengthback. Your session lightened up until midnightagain, when He took you back into very strongtraining and atonement.

You had called Ernest Jessop earlier. Youcalled him and Jerold Williams, and David Allredand gave them some instructions. You told Erniethat you wouldn't be coming that way tomorrow.After you went back into session -- you were in thechair -- you hadPatricia and Tammy and] in hereto rub you. You couldn't take it right then. As youwere taken back into session, you laid so that yourhead was on the arm of the chair. Your bodyjerked and trembled andjolted. You groaned andsighed. You went unconscious for about tenminutes and then came to again, still suffering andatoning.At 1:00 0 'clock a.m. you sat back up. Youhadn't really said anything during that time. At1:30 a.m. you groaned and sighed and said, "]will

do it. ] will do it." You said, "This work must goon. 1f must contInue. At 1 43 a.m. your body wastrembling, jerking and jolting. You said, "TheLord is allowing me to make an atonement." At2:000 'clock a.m. you said, "] tremble, yearn, andweep for Zion. Who is Zion?" You said, "TheLord is watching us so closely." You said, "] willbe sending a few back today. "

Did I name them?You didn't name any names. You said, "Some

ofmy family." That is all you said. You didn'tname any names. At 2: 10 a.m. you said, "The Lordallowed the wall of opposition to be put back alittle." You said, "Ifwe would befaithful the Lordwouldn't even allow the wicked to come upon thisland. They wouldfear to. " At 2:30 a.m. you said,"The Lord will yet have me go to R17 by the 5th ofMay. He wants me there on the 5th .

You said, "He is revealing more marriages tobe done, more trainings to give." You said that

you would be taking care ofJoseph Fischer's wifeBeverly, also Uncle Joe's wife Janice, LouisBarlow's wife Loana. You said that Janice wouldbe going to Richard Allred. You didn't namewhere Beverley would go. You said that Loanawould be going to Stephen Harker for time only.You said the Lord is showing you that if LouisBarlow isn't careful, in his anger, he would turntraitor. He has totally lost the Spirit ofGod. Yousaid, "Also his son Tom has lost the Spirit ofGodand will not --. "

At 2:50 a.m. you said you would also betraining more men. You didn't name any names.You said, "All these men professed great loyalty.They must realize they haven't come to the fulrepentance the Lord requires. They are notjust ona mission. This is a judgment on them. They musaccept it. "At 3:00 0 'clock a.m. you groaned and sighedand said, "Okay, okay." You said that you wouldbe going to do these weddings and give thetraining before you left to go to R17. You would behere for the weekend or whatever the Lord had inmindfor you. You said, "There is still somethingmust go through." You said the Lord is showingyou many things that He is not allowing you to saybut in time they will be revealed. You said, "He isallowing us to continue on. The brethren must bemore united and stop thinking they cancompromise. They cannot." You said it with greaemphasis. You said, "The brethren will not andcannot compromise or else]will send them away. "You said, "For now the Lord has not named anwho should go, just some ofmy family." Then youcame to at 3: 15 a.m.At 5:00 0 'clock a.m. this morning you said thayou would be sending a few people back, ofyoufamily. You said that in order for the Lord to keepus going there must be a greater oneness. You

said, "There is a degree of oneness growing.There must be a greater oneness among us." A5:15 a.m. your body jolted and trembled quiteseverely. As you were trembling you were shiningso bright, so bright. ] moved closer to the wall togive you room. As] looked back at you, ] couldn'see you any more, but ] could feel the bed wamoving. all-consuming fire went through me. I felt thatrushing wind on my ace. I could hear it. You werestill shining so bright. You said, "The Lord hathdone it. "At 5:50 a.m. you said, "The Lord wants me tosend Jen and Jessica." You named one otherperson but I couldn't tell whatyou said. It sounded

like you said, "Sheena," but she is already in ShortCreek. That is all you named.You said, "There are a few others," but youdidn't name anyone else. You said, "The Lord hasa correction for the men at R23, for thecompromises they made, for even thinking tocompromise." You said you would be sendingNathanael Allred back for a time. If he wouldhumble himself, he could quickly return becausehe has been a strength. He has got to just quitdoubting himself, which takes away the greater

strength that he could be.You came to at 6:00 0 'clock a.m. I started totell you what had been happening. At 6:20 a.m.

you said, "I well also be sending back littlePatricia and Jacob and Amber and Melissa." At6:30 a.m. you said, "I cannot compromise theredemption ofZion for anyone and I will not. Wemust come up to the mark ifwe want to remain onthese places of refuge." At 6:50 a.m. you said, "Oh, my. Oh, my. Whatis happening? What is happening to me?" Yousaid, "If I have to send my whole family back, Iwill. The Lord isn't having me do that right now.Some of hem are obtaining the faith necessary. "You said, "We must come to it quickly. " That is thelast thing you said before you came to.8:08 a.m. Calling R23Correction to the MenGood morning. You have them gathered? Howmany men are there?

Response: NineteenOkay. The others got off in time. And what

trailers did they take? Okay. If you can put it onspeaker phone, I will see if they can hear me.

Good morning, brethren.

Response: Good morning!I am grateful that I can talk to you. You can hearme good?Response: Yes.I have a message from the Lord for you, both a

training and correction and desire the Spirit ofGodto be with me and you. I love you and I have beenyearning for your success there. When the Lordgives a commandment, He expects to be obeyed,and as the Prophet Nephi explained a relationshipof obedience with the Lord, that when the Lordgives a commandment, He always provides a wayto accomplish what He commands. We also knowhow the Spirit of God touched the Prophet JosephSmith as a young man when he read the words ofJames: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask ofGod." "Who giveth liberally and upbraideth not,"means He is not trying to stop you. He wants tobless you. But then the Prophet James declared,"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for hethat wavereth is as the wave of he sea, driven withthe wind and tossed." The wavering is the littledoubt where you start to wonder if it can really bedone, whatever the Lord calls on you to do. Andthis is what the Lord has shown me is in the mindsand hearts ofsome ofyou. And even as you nearedthe end of April 30, yesterday, even some of themanagers that were organizing started looking forenetises: "Tftis w6tilti fttlf'l"en anti that h6tlltihappen to slow us up," or the attitude for the lastfew days has been, "What is the priority? What dowe have to get done, and we will finish the restlater;" also any compromises on what should bedone, trying to find a fast way, this or that to not doit quite as the Lord directs. These attitudes are stillamong the brethren.

I am so grateful how you have given your allphysically day and night, not being around yourfamilies. But the Lord has shown me that we werenot favored there at R23 because there was somethat held on to the doubts and have not learned toexert that devoted faith, that gift of oneness. Evenifyou doubt yourself and your own abilities to do,and wonder ifyou are holding this work back, youare dwelling on the failure instead of the success.

The Lord loves this group of brethren verygreatly. Individuals are qualifying. I gave you theLord's message, how the power of oneness is

exerted. Last Sunday I delivered that message andyou were put to the test this week. The Lord isgoing to clean us up, those who need to go back toShort Creek and develop the faith, build up thegood work there, will do so. Others will remain atR23 and some go to R17 tomorrow.I say to you brethren, when the Lord gives a

commandment, even in earthly affairs, don't eventhink we can go a moment beyond what He says,and you are seeking revelation and the gifts andstrength that it can be done. To even think, "Well,what will we leave to do after April 30?" was adeclaration of failure in this mission, when all thetime we should have been reaching how to getdone earlier so we could be ready for the nextmission. Think how this would cloud the greatmission and the short time schedule at R17 if yougo there with a doubt. And this cannot be,brethren. The power of oneness is heaven-sent,not of earthly strength alone. You are beingtrained to exert the faith like the Prophet Nephi,like the brother of Jared, and this is what the Lordexpects ofall ofus. Now the Lord has named May5 as a date that cannot be a failure. It must be asuccess, the storehouse established there with thegoods there and the refrigerator and freezer roomsdone. There needs to be a strong effort there forthose who remain.

Can you still hear me? Brother Jerold and Benand Rich will be staying there, Mike Emack andLuke Jessop, Warren Johnson Sr. and WarrenJohnson Jr., Guy Jessop. I have Nathaniel Allred,and I will also leave Isaac Steed at R23, ifyou will,until May 5. Tomorrow morning, BrotherAbraham Draper is to lead the rest of you to R 17,going down 125 and on down the way you came.Also Wendell Jeffs remain until May 5 with hiswife. We need this storehouse established andoperating by May 5, the Lord has directed. I havesent David Allred back to Short Creek tocoordinate the flow of those goods with theBishop. So I hope that gives you sufficient help,Brother Jerold, to carry this out. This is a great training, brethren, and the Lord iso patient with us. You must realize that this Zion's Camp, an advance company preparing thway for our people against a time of life or deatneed. That is how serious it will be. Though yocan't see it, even your own families will have greaneed of blessings. The Lord has promised instanrenewal and strength when you are tired. And know you have given so much. And I say againindividuals are qualifying. But for oneness texist, every person is needed to succeed in thaexercise of perfect faith, no doubt. And perfecfaith requires dwelling in revelation, what to dnext and how to do.To even say, "Only so and so can do this kind owork," and, "All this is on their shoulders," meanthat others are not willing to learn where revelatiocould be given you how to learn a skill quickly an

reaching for the gifts and skills to do as the Lordcommands without a compromise.So let us go forward and learn the lesson. He isreading your hearts. Those that do qualify will beblessed. I yearn that all ofyou will be qualified sothat we can have the gift and power of onenessexerted. You are not just doing a physical labor.

You are reaching for the strength of heaven,developing a living power with God, walking andtalking with Him through prayer and revelation,and the angels attend you, and the Lord is near. Allofyou have been called by revelation. I yearn thatthis Zion's Camp the Lord is bringing forth willseek for the power from on high in all they do.What you are really qualifying for is the presenceof God by living in the increase of His Spiritthrough your living faith, and doing all that you dowith the strength of heaven.

I know the Presiding Elder there, BrotherJerold, has been pleading with the Lord forguidance and strength for himself and the crew.For the Lord to honor our prayers, there must bethe exertion of oneness, and just one person with adoubt destroys that oneness. And when you beginreasoning in the ways of your own judgment, thatyou have to set some things aside and get otherthings done and not meet the Lord's schedule, thatmeans you have already declared your lack offaith. So let us learn this lesson, brethren. This haseXlste among us. There will be a people who willhave that faith to do whatever the Lord directs.Why not us? Remember the promise of our timethat one will chase a thousand of the enemy andtwo will chase ten thousand, when the enemythinks thousands are chasing after them. We soeasily tum to our earthly judgment and feelingsand introduce a compromise.So let us learn this lesson, and I give this

But He wantsyou to go back to Short Creek, work for David, be astrength there and what I need done, perhaps evenhelp me when I come there. But if you will repentand sacrifice this doubt and fear of yourselfqualifying, you can repent quickly and return ,because we need your help. All isn't lost, but theLord is releasing you from the crew, wants you togo back to Short Creek and develop the strengthyou need to be one hundred percent faith with Him,okay? 2:00 p.m. DictationMy last dictation was yesterday morning. Ispent much of yesterday reading the mail from thepeople, the letters. There were many encouragingletters. Some were from people whose motherswere recently sealed to other fathers, formerchildren of these Barlow men. The letters that

were written to me were in full support ofwhat theLord was having done. I did have letters fromsome of the morals troubles people, yearning forrebaptism. The Lord whispered to me that twopeople should be rebaptized, and I called theBishop in Short Creek, William Jessop, and toldhim to [have] he and his counselors take care of hebaptism ofMartha Emack, and also I directed himto rebaptize Marty Jessop, the son of Dee Jessop.Both had written me letters, very humble andsweet and the Good Spirit said go forward withrebaptism. I read other letters from other peoplewho were asking for rebaptism, but the Spirit said,"No," on the others for now.

In talking to William Jessop, last night -- put inthe record that those people were rebaptized -- Iasked William Jessop where all the baptismrecords were and he said they are in the missionaryreport envelopes. So we need to go through allthose missionary report envelopes and give toMother Merilyn because she is recording the ShortCreek ordinances for me. Ordinances are onlybeing performed for the people in Short Creek asthe Lord gives a specific directive.

I felt the yearning all day within for the laborersto be strengthened, knowing that April 30 th was thescheduled time to have R23 houses complete. Icalled R23 about 7:00 p.m. and in listening to RichAllred and Mike Emack, what was happeningthere, the brethren there were taking on the attitudeof compromise. They had stopped thinking they

could get the work done and were deciding whatwas most important to get done. And I understoodwhat that meant, that we had displeased the Lordand not met His scheduled time ofcompletion. SoI retired to my room around 7:30 p.m. and veryshortly after, feeling the weight of this, the Lordtook me into a heavenly session until about 9:30p.m. where I was shown that the Lord wasdispleased with the workers at R23 in SouthDakota and certain names of the workers weregiven to travel to R17 at 4:00 a.m. in the morningand others would stay another day and a few otherswould stay until May 5th I was in the heavenly session through the night.Marriages were named, corrections were namedfor the brethren. One worker was to be sent back,Nathanael Allred. Also names were given ofwhoto send to Short Creek from R17, from Texas. I

have had Isaac Jeffs there with the mobile homewaiting for my call. My scribe and helpmatewitnessed that I was taken away physically thismorning and in returning named the names ofcertain people to be corrected and removed fromthe places of refuge.As I gained my strength this morning, I calledR23, where Jerold Williams is the presiding Elder.The men gathered, and I called as they gathered. Igave a strong warning and training on oneness andthat they had compromised this mission. I toldJerold when he picked up the phone alone thatNathaniel Allred was to be sent back with the nexttrip to Short Creek. I then talked to NathanaelAllred and told him he would return to Short Creekand work on his faith and preparation and if hewould do it quickly, we would call him back intoserVIce.Oh, the day before, I called David on Friday,April 30th, yesterday, and told him to leave by 4:00a.m. in the morning and bring Mother Susan who

has an infection on her leg and now through herbloodstream and also take back to Short CreekSeth Allred and his wife Shirley Allred, mydaughter, who had been struggling in her feelings,needing to learn greater faith. Seth Allred goeswith the approval ofGod and the Prophet. He hasdone well. I instructed David to have Seth Allredwith Shirley move onto the property in the samehouse as Robert Allred, the Jeffs block property,and to have Nathanael Allred and Samuel Allred

move to Guy Allred's house, and we arranged thismorning for Nathanael Allred to move to thatapartment on David Allred's property.I had called the Bishop last night and told him toprint up a previous handout that had three of mytalks, November 10, 2002, was the first meeting.We found the disks and tapes here at Rl and I had

Seth leave about 2:00 a.m. in the morning andtravel to Short Creek with those tapes and hearrived at 6:30 a.m. in time to fulfill the directive. Ihad told William Jessop, the Bishop, to play therecording of my talk and have a handout on everychair where every person could read along with mytalk. These three sermons in the handout are on theredemption of Zion and describe the revelation ofthe darling idols we must let go of to qualify forZion. I instructed the Bishop that for the next twoSaturday work meetings to play the tape of theremaining two sermons, one each time as thepeople now have the handout.

The letters I have received from the people inShort Creek, many of them express gratitude tohave heard the retraining again that describes thequalifications to be part of he redemption ofZion.There are many people writing me letters yearningfor Zion, "yearning to come where I am," they say."We want to be where you are," is what many ofthe letters say. I have received letters from bothsons and daughters of the men who have provedunworthy for their families. Some expresssurprise, yearnings, but all of them that I havereceived thus far, except for Tom Barlow, haveexpressed they support what the Lord is doing.In LeGrande Barlow Allred's letter hedescribed how since Louis Barlow was handled,Louis Barlow, his earthly father, has deterioratedin spirit. I placed Sidney Barlow over LouisBarlow's family to teach and train them for a timeuntil they were taken care of and [LeGrande

described] how Louis Barlow almost daily is angryat Sidney and the family. His spirit hasdeteriorated. Louis Barlow's expressions to me inhis letters are that he has upheavals of feelings, upand down, and in the last letter that I received, thatI read yesterday, Louis Barlow expressed that allhe wants is Priesthood and he can tell by hisfeelings being so uncontrolled that perhaps hisfamily and wives were his darling idols.

These men who have been handled aremaintaining the idea that they are just goingthrough a test. I have had many people who havegone to visit them write to me and say, "It is amarvel how they are passing this test in thesacrifice of all earthly things." Some people havefoolishly expressed now these men have theircalling and election sure, having sacrificed allearthly things. And it is just not true. These menhave not repented. They have proved themselvesunworthy of heir families. They cannot exalt theirfamilies. What has happened to them is ajudgment ofGod where blessings are lost and nowthose ladies are sealed for time and eternity toother worthy men. This is a work of gathering forthe redemption of Zion by placing beside theseworthy men these families that need a Priesthoodconnection for the next great trials.

In talking to the Bishop this morning, I told theBishop, this is Saturday morning now, that wewere needing to start shipping storehouse goods toanother place of refuge. I have told JeroldWilliams and the brethren at R23 that thestorehouse is to be operating and fully stocked byMay 5th and to not compromise that date with theirexcuses. So I called the Bishop in Short Creek totell him that I was sending David Allred back toShort Creek to work with the Bishop and startsending semi-trailer loads of goods to R23. TheCtUcting COmpany we are usIng tOr the places ofrefuge is under David Allred's businesses names.

The Bishop told me about Val Jessop, that threechildren he had through Laurene have disappearedwith Laurene and now Laurene has got a court orderagainst her sister wife Marie, to have nothing to do withthose children. The children were staying with MarieCooke. Val Jessop has been handled, has been stayingat a trailer in Canebeds next to Short Creek. I told theBishop he needs to gather up those girls, thosedaughters, because Laurene has terrible mental troublesand is on heavy medication. One ofVal Jessop's errorsis that he stayed connected to his first wife, estrangedwife, who is apostate when the Prophet Rulon Jeffs toldhim to let that woman go, and he constantly accused hissecond wife. This is another example of a manpromoting his own marriages. Uncle Roy evenreproved him for it but then went ahead with the sealingand they have had hell in their home ever since becausethese daughters of Jack Cooke were abused but carried

their bad feelings into their marriage. Val Jessop hasbeen so unwise, allowing these girls to go topsychiatrist and therapies where the doctors wereimmoral and invited the ladies to commit adultery, andVal Jessop allowed those connections. But he doesn'thold Priesthood, and I have sent word that instead othose girls being with Laurene who isn't mentallycompetent, that Val should see that they are taken careof. Now there is a court order in place not allowingthose children to be with the other mother in ShortCreek.

In our conversation, the Bishop told me that hejust got a call from Joseph I. Barlow, who isstaying in St. George with several of the men whohave been handled, and Joseph I. Barlow told theBishop, "We, down here at St. George, aregrieving. We need you to come and comfort us."The Bishop asked me what I thought he should do,and I said, "Don't touch it. If those men have thetrue Spirit of repentance, they will have a prayer ofrejoicing for the privilege to repent. Grievingmeans they are in despair. Despair comethbecause of iniquity says the scripture." And I toldthe Bishop that all he should do with these men intheir connections with him is to read Section 20verse 37, on the requirements of rebaptism; and ifthey can fulfill those requirements, the Lord willdirect them to go forward and earn what salvationis within their reach. I strongly warned the Bishop,WIlham Jessop, mat If he goes to comfort mesemen, he could fall into the trap ofhaving sympathyagainst authority against the will of God. AndBrother William readily agreed and took thecounsel and said he will be very careful.

I told the Bishop that he needs to tell these menthey are out of order. They keep meeting togetherand teaching each other when not one of them hasthe authority to teach. They each one need to getclose to the Lord and fully repent. I told him thesemen have not repented yet. Even in theirconfessions they haven't come forward and toldthe truth. In the many letters I have received fromsome of hese men they have declared that they areon a mission and going through a test. The Lordshowed me, and I have it recorded in my recordpreviously, that many of hese men are putting on ashow of repentance to me but among themselvesthey don't see why they are bing handled.

I read a letter from my brother Hyrum Jeffs,wherein he questioned the revelation the Lord hadgiven, wondering if he really had lost Priesthood,which shows he hasn't fully repented. More andmore of these men that have been handled, overforty in number, are despairing.The Lord has protected me from some tricks ofthe devil. Tom Barlow was visited by one of hisformer wives and I got a letter with his wife's nameon the letter, but it was him that typed it. In thatletter it declared that she hoped, but it was TomBarlow writing it, but she hoped that not onlywould they be restored, but she felt that he wouldreceive additional wives. The Lord detected thatand it was Tom Barlow himself writing the letter.Then I got a pack of letters from LorinJohnson's children and Lorin Johnson himself. Hehas not been handled, but he won't let go of his

adulterous former wife, who has been in rebellionall her married life and she finally committedadultery with Mark Zitting, a young man, and shehas several children -- Martha Ann Jessop, UncleFred's step daughter, Joe C. Jessop's daughter. Allthese children were told to write how they yearnedthat their mother could return to their homethrough Priesthood marriage. The Lord gave me aspecial revelation concerning her and others, thatwhen a woman commits adultery she can't even beconsidered to be restored until she pays thepenalty, which would be into the next life, unlessthe Lord gives a direct commandment. I have toldLorin Johnson that he may not get his wife again.She is not worthy. I received a letter from JosephRohbock who said that this woman, Martha AnnJessop, in her dark moments was calling him forcounsel and comfort. So she continues callingyoung men. I am very concerned that she is aplague among us, destroying young men. I will dowhat the Lord directs.

The Lord is cleaning up this people. The day ofthe halfhearted people is past. Some havewondered why they can't have it as it was. It isbecause the Lord's schedule, the Lord's time tableis progressing and only the pure in heart can becalled forth in the redemption ofZion. The foolishvirgins are being detected and many are notvirgins. I received a letter yesterday from JesseJessop Jr., his confession being with the ClarenceWayman girls. And that reminds me I need to send

we are seeking for humility and great faithlest we be ashamed in His presence.In working with people in their preparation, one

of the most often asked questions and one of theirgreatest concerns is, "How do we pray moreeffectively?" which means that it works. So I feelto give you a few thoughts from the Prophets andthe Lord on how prayers can be the prayer of faith.Many people just say words. They say prayers. Ihave seen and heard gentile prayers and theprayers of other religions. Many people pray infront of others to be heard of men and women.Some religions they repeat the same words overand over and over. Some religions they just sitthere silent and never say a word to anybody. Butwe know one sure example is the spring of 1820,Joseph Smith, a young man of fourteen years old,went and voiced an out-loud prayer, and it madethe devil mad, so much so the devil tried to stophim from talking. But he kept trying to talk and hekept thinking that prayer, and the Lord allowed theevil powers to test him to see ifhe really wanted ananswer. There is a key to prayer. You must praywith real intent. You really want the answer.When the Lord saw he really wanted the answer,then the Father and the Son appeared to JosephSmith. And where the Spirit of God is, the evilpowers have to flee.

That was a special occasion, the only event inthe history of this earth where the Godhead met,that we know of. Joseph Smith was foreordainedto be the Witness and Testator to witness andtestify to the whole world that he knew theGodhead lived. His record awakens our minds tothe reality that God lives and He hears and answersprayers. So if ever you wonder if our HeavenlyFather hears and answers prayers, remember thatFirst Vision in the spring of 1820 when JosephSmith knelt down and prayed.

So we want to offer prayers called the "prayerof faith". So we need to study what faith means, orwhat is faith in your prayers. The prayer of faith isheard and answered. The prayer of faith often isnot just one prayer. As Uncle Roy taught us, sayyour prayers in the morning, then get up off yourknees and go about your work, then repeat theprayers as a yearning. The same prayer youoffered in the morning, you keep repeating it withthat same yearning. Staying at your prayers is a

key to having your prayers answered. Say oneprayer and forget it, that means you weren'texerting a faith, really believing it would happen.The prayer of faith is a prayer answered byHeavenly Father. So all things have to be just righfor your prayers to be answered. You learn abouHeavenly Father and His character and you learn

He does only right. He never does a wrong. Welearn that He is our actual Father ofour spirits andof our bodies, a God coming to earth, our FatherMichael, coming to earth as Adam to start thepopulation of this earth. And the God over Himbecame His Son in the flesh. Jesus Christ isJehovah Christ. So first you need to know whoyou are talking to.

Uncle Roy taught us the God that we pray to isour Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is named theFather and the Son. He is the God over Michaebefore this earth was created, and He was able tocome here and become the Son of God to conquedeath and give us life. The God that Father Michaeprayed to when He was Adam is Jehovah, or JesusChrist. Jesus Christ is the God that appeared to thebrother ofJared, that appeared to Moses, and so onAnd His work is to bring us back into the presenceofour Heavenly Father, Father Michael.

So there is a special relationship between theFather and the Son in the Godhead as to this earth.ASB J N ~ a t we are Bel"e B8 is 89t1"B: 9t ~ 1 9 t . 8 is ~ a t B i l "Michael's eternal Celestial family on this earthwhen it is Celestialized. That is where Priesthoodcomes into all-importance in your life, and youmarriage covenants properly lived earns you thaplace. Even your baptism, through Priesthoodpower and authority, was an eternal gift untoeternal life.

In Priesthood all things are done by prayer, inthe name of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is thepower ofthe Gods that makes all things work. It isthe power that brings all blessings. So I voicestrongly that faith in your prayers means the Spiriof God is in your prayers. And when the HolySpirit is with you, you automatically receiverevelation, or heavenly thoughts. Revelation givesyou Heavenly Father's thoughts and feelings towhere your prayers are in oneness with His will.So there is another key of the prayer of faith. It isproper to say, "Heavenly Father, we seek the Spiri

ofprayer and to do your will only. May my or ourdesires be in oneness with you." So the prayer offaith is led, guided, where you feel the burningpeace as you pray, knowing what you are prayingfor is Heavenly Father's will.So once again, the prayers that are heard areprayers offered through the Spirit of God burning

in you, being led by His whisperings. And as youknow you have the burning peace, and the thoughtsand desires you have are His will, HeavenlyFather's will, that gives you a confidence equal toknowledge. So the prayer of faith is a prayer equalto knowledge, as though it was already done -what you are asking for will happen, always in theLord's time and way.In talking about the Prophets, Brigham Youngdescribed Joseph Smith this way: "Joseph Smithhad to pray all the time to perform his work."

Many people think, "Oh, the Prophet is theProphet. He just has power with God and what hesays happens," as though it the Prophet doing it.But the Prophet is a servant ofGod sent to earth toexert a constant living faith to bless the people ofGod, the Lord doing it. The Prophet has to prayconstantly, even to know what to do next. So theLord establishes a Prophet among the people,sends a Prophet among the people to show thateveryone has to pray in order to do HeavenlyFather's will.In the prayer of faith that is heard and answeredthat is what a prayer of faith means; the prayer offaith is a prayer that is heard and answered - thatprayer of faith has the assurance that you pleaseGod, that what you are praying for is His will. Butst asking isn't enough. Just knowing His willisn't enough.So let us suppose you have a very real need andit is Heavenly Father's will to give you theblessing; but perhaps you haven't been real

obedient today, a little light-minded. You haven'tlived as He taught. A prayer of faith has to haveobedience backing it up. So as you approach yourHeavenly Father you have to be able to say, in allhumility, "With your help I have been obedient,and I desire this blessing so I may be moreobedient." Your prayers have to be backed up.You don't just throw some words out there and

hope the blessing lands on you. There is anon-purpose preparation.So know that when you need a blessing, youneed to make sure there is something backing it up,backing up your prayer of faith. You have to beable to say, "I am doing your will, HeavenlyFather, through the Priesthood over me." TheProphet Joseph described it this way: "Through thesacrifice of all earthly things is our faith strong."And the sacrifice of all earthly things meanssubmit your will to the will of those over you, andthus to Heavenly Father. Sweet, humbleobedience to God through Priesthood is thesacrifice we always make.You have been taught many, many truths lately,and every training requires an obedience. So inyour prayers, to be a prayer of faith, you have tothink about what you have been taught, to see if

you have been obedient.So I will give you an example of a prayer offaith, and the Lord honoring my father's prayersand Priesthood. You see my sister, Rachel, here onthis property. We were at Maxwell Park in ShortCreek, and we got word that she was bleeding todeath. And you know life or death matters meansyou need the blessing this minute. In having achild she was bleeding to death. The doctors cameout, told her former husband they didn't know if

We told the Lord we knew that He couldsave her life and stop the bleeding. And the Lordheard our Prophet's prayers, and very shortlythereafter we got another call. The doctors cameout of the operating room and the bleeding hadstopped. And it was the Lord's will to preserve herlife. And we all offered up thank-you prayers,rejoicing in the Lord for His mercy and kindness.There is many examples people could give oftheir prayers being answered, but most peoplewon't talk about it because it is so sacred andspecial, they only talk about if they are told to givetestimony. Most ofour prayers are given in secret,our prayers of faith. When you join in groupprayer and hold hands in a show to HeavenlyFather that you want to be one, your group prayers

are only effective if you bring your alreadyworking silent prayers to the group prayer.Praying always is in your heart, where you have awant always there. You were born as a livingperson with a living want. And the commandmentof God to pray always unto Him is how wediscipline that want to always want His will, andthereby do His will. Your praying always is thewant to do Heavenly Father's will. Your mind hasto be busy on things, but your mind is guided byyour wants, and if you live in selfishness, youeasily forget prayer, because you want just whatyou want, to serve yourself. But when youdiscipline your desire to want the will of God anddo it, that is the eye single of praying always. Andit is a happy way of life, this praying always;because the prayer of faith always exerted in yourheart, where your living desire is, that prayer offaith brings an increase of Heavenly Father'sapproval, called the burning peace ofHis Spirit.

Now all of you are innocent and pure enoughthat you can feel Heavenly Father's Spirit, and youfeel good when you really mean a prayer, whenyou really mean it. You can feel HeavenlyFather's approval. You can also feel Hisdisapproval, an emptiness when you say a prayerthat you really didn't mean. You just said wordsand forgot it.So you are learning the Spirit of God bylearning how to pray right. Through prayer willyou know Heavenly Father. One of the greatexamples is the Twelve Apostles among theNephites. When Jesus came and appeared to them,He said, "Pray," and they prayed to Him, and theirhearts were filled with desire, which means theirprayers were led. Heavenly Father's Spirit put intheir minds what to pray for, and it was HeavenlyFather's will; so that as they prayed more andmore, not just for themselves, but for the will of

God toward all people to be done, the Holy Spiritflowed into them brighter and brighter until itturned their clothes white, and their faces werewhite, a heavenly whiteness. The Holy Spirit justincreased and increased as they prayed the prayerof faith. That is an example ofwhat prayers shoulddo.

Now if you kneel down and pray and you justfeel empty, and you don't know what words to say,and you don't seem to be answered, that means

maybe you didn't do something you should haveor maybe there is something you did wrong youneed to repent of. Maybe you don't have thobedience backing up your prayers, and you needto ask forgiveness for any weakness, yearn toknow what you need to do better, and sometimethe Spirit ofGod will show you what you forgot todo - something you were told to do and you didn'do it. Go make it right. Go do that obedient thingso that you can kneel down and know obediencbacks up your prayers. Other times the Lord itesting you to see if you really mean it, that youwill stay at it, pray until the blessing comes.I am praying and yearning fervently, with almy heart, there will be a clean and prepared peoplraised up from among this Priesthood people tocome into the presence of God and redeem Zion.can't say that prayer just once. It is my constan

yearning. And step by step, meeting this personand that person, going to this place and that placeweek after week, month after month, that prayeand yearning to raise up a people to redeem Zion ialways there. The blessing doesn't come all aonce. It is a step here, a step there; a person here, person there is converted; a blessing comes hereanother blessing comes there. That is an examplfor you, because you have been given the missionto become like God and come into His presence.So that yearning prayer doesn't stop. And all otheprayers are part of triat one yearnmg prayer tobecome like God and please Him and dwell withHim.

So, young ladies and all here, you got to draw inthe wanderings of your mind, is how Uncle Roysaid it. A young mind is about as energetic as young body, and the young mind can go here andthere about as fast as you can run. You can think oone thing, then another You need to draw in thwanderings and focus on the one right desire, theone right prayer: "Heavenly Father, I want youwill, to become like you and dwell with youagain." Yearning to please your Heavenly Fatheis the eye single, the one right prayer, and all otheprayers are part of fulfilling that one prayer. Sojust like I have been praying for years, and wilpray for years for the fulness of Zion to bestablished on this land, this land we call the landof America, the promised land; so you mus

continue your one constant prayer for years toyearn to become like God, to please Him.Prayer is our way oflife in the Priesthood, and itis always a reaching to Heavenly Father to pleaseHim. You must learn to be led as you pray. Everygift of the Spirit of God is earned and exertedthrough prayer. Here are the Lord's words:

D.&C. 4628. And it shall come to pass that he thatasketh in the Spirit shall receive in theSpirit;***30. He that asketh in the Spirit askethaccording to the will ofGod; wherefore it isdone even as he asketh.31. And again, I say unto you, all thingsmust be done in the name of Christ,whatsoever you do in the Spirit;

And then this key to prayer:32. And ye must give thanks unto God inthe Spirit for whatsoever blessing ye areblessed with.

When the Savior appeared to the Nephites, oneof the first things He taught them was how to pray.He even gave an example ofprayer that shows howall our prayers should be patterned. He said:

3 Nephi 136. But thou, when thou prayest, enter intothy closet,01 aprivate plaCe.6 ...and when thou hast shut thy door,pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thyFather, who seeth in secret, shall reward theeopenly.

6 .. pray to thy Father who is in secret;and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shallreward thee openly.7. But when ye pray, use not vainrepetitions,

Don't have empty prayers, just memorized7. .. .as the heathen,for they think that theyshall be heardfor their much speaking.8. Be not ye therefore like unto them, foryour Father knoweth what things ye haveneed ofbefore ye ask him.

Now, there is a truth that helps you understandw to pray. Before you even start praying, He

knows what you need, and that is why you wantyour prayer to be led to please Him.There is an article here I have given a class. Ithink you have heard the training, called "TheHoly Spirit". Here is where you learn and come toknow your Heavenly Father:

Or in your private place. The most private placeyou have is within you. You come to knowHeavenly Father within your own mind and yourown heart. When you go to a private place whereyou know only He can hear you, that humility ofprayer is to trust in Him that He sees all things. Healready knows what you need and He can hear youwherever you are....call upon him in the fields. Follow the

directions of he Book ofMormon, and prayover, and for your families, your cattle, yourflocks, your herds, your corn, and all thingsthat you possess; ask the blessing of Godupon all your labors, and everything that youengage in. Be virtuous andpure; be men ofintegrity and truth; keep the commandmentsof God; and then you will be able moreperfectly to understand the differencebetween right and wrong - between thethings ofGod and the things ofmen; and yourlnath wjll be Uke that qf tbe jus t Ylhjcb sbjnetbbrighter and brighter unto the perfect day.

Now listen to the Lord 's prayer. It begins with,"Father, thy will be done." It ends with, "Father,thy will be done, and all glory to you," just wantingHis will. So the Spirit of prayer is revelation,obedience, and gratitude. Through prayer youexert the Spirit of revelation, obedience, andgratitude, reaching to be led. Listen to our Savior'sprayer.3 Nephi 13

9. . .Our Father who art in heaven,hallowed be thy name.That means, "You are great and above all, andwe love you above all." "Hallowed" means, "Youare great and holy and we love you."

10. Thy will be done on earth as it is inheaven.Before any asking, you put yourself in tune.You make sure you have humbled yourself to say,

"Thy will be done. Even what 1 ask 1 want to beyour will."11. Andforgive us our debts,

That means our sins.11 ....as we forgive our debtors.

"Forgive us for our sins and weaknesses. 1forgive everyone and yearn all others to be blessedby thee."12. And lead us not into temptation, butdeliver us from evil.

And in His prayer He gave among the Jews, Hesaid, "And give us this day our daily bread." Thatmeans, "We seek your blessings today to do yourwill."

12. And lead us not into temptation, butdeliver us from evil.That means, "Bless us with the Spirit of God.Deliver us from the evil powers." Then it ends:

13. For thine is the kingdom, and thepower, and the glory, forever. ***

"I just want your will and you to be glorified."Now here is another key to prayer. Ifyou have anybad feelings present, your prayers don't work.Prayer only is the prayer of faith if you have goodfeelings.14. For, i fyeforgive men their trespassesyour heavenly Father will also forgive you;15. But if ye forgive not men theirtrespasses neither will your Father forgive

your trespasses.Then He said that ifyou remember your brotherhas aught against you, then go make it right, andthen the Lord will hear our prayers. What aboutthis feeling to not pray? Where does it come from?The Prophet Nephi explained it from the Lord:

2 Nephi 328. . .For i f ye would hearken unto the

Spirit which teacheth a man to pray ye wouldknow that ye must pray; for the evil spiritteacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth himthat he must not pray.When you have a feeling that you don't want topray, you are listening to an evil spirit, which isusually a discouragement whispering, "Oh, 1don'tdeserve the blessing," or, "Will 1 really be heard?"whatever thought that is wrong, it doesn't feelright. Now dear ladies, all who will hear this, 1 say

to you, the prayer of faith is accompanied by theSpirit of prayer, a feeling that is real. Ask for theSpirit of prayer, Heavenly Father's Spirit. Andhow does prayer work? You are a living person.We are all sons or daughters of Heavenly FatherHe is in the heavens on His Celestial earth. Hislight goes everywhere, called the Holy Spirit. Hesees everything at once, hears it all at once. He hasalso assigned guardian angels to be near us. Ouminds are His creation, and He has made it so oumind, when we think, He can hear what we arethinking. Our Savior showed this, that while Hewas even in this mortal life, He had all power andHe could hear the thoughts of the people aroundHim. When people tried to hide it from Him, Heknew their thoughts.

So your brain, your mind, thinks. When thSpirit ofGod goes into you, nothing is hidden andHeavenly Father can hear you. When you ask fothe Spirit of prayer and you feel the peace in youheart and your mind, then there is a signal. It is likethe wire is connected and the electricity flowsthrough it. When you have the Spirit of God, theSpirit of prayer, the signal goes from your brainyour mind, up to Heavenly Father that fas[snappedjinger}, instantly. And then He answeryou back with the sweet whisperings, protectionguidance, blessings.

So prayer works only through the Spirit ofGodThe signal goes up, He returns His answer with theburning peace, and then He causes His Spirit togive the blessings. We pray the Lord will bless oufood. We should have a Spirit ofpeace as we prayand His Spirit affects the food. When you prayyou should feel that Heavenly Father is listeningthrough the burning peace. Heavenly Father'Spirit will tell you, "Yes, He has heard youprayer." But that doesn' t mean the blessing wilcome right this minute. You said in your prayer"Father, thy will be done," which includes Hitime and way, when He wants to give the blessingSo when you receive a witness that your prayerare heard and will be answered, don't get aldiscouraged if he blessing doesn't come when yothink it should. The witness that He heard youprayers and the blessing will be given should causyou to keep yearning for the blessing to come untiit comes, having the assurance that through youobedience He will give you the blessing.

Many of he men I have trained recently haven'tseen me for months. The Lord names their namesto me, that they should receive the training and bepart of the new Zion's Camp. And many of thesemen, after I get done training them, they shake myhand, give me a hug, and then often they say, "Itold the Lord last week or yesterday or recently, Ijust wanted to be close to Uncle Warren and do theLord's will through him. My prayers wereanswered." When they dedicated their all to do theLord's will, the blessing came, and they thrilled toreceive the training and be part of this mission.

Now in the Book ofMormon, this training fromthe Prophet Alma to one of his sons applies to us.This is how to pray over everything, like theProphet Joseph Smith declared. This Prophet usedthe word "cry", "Cry unto God," to mean prayer.Alma 37

36. Yea, and cry unto God for all thysupport; yea, let all thy doings be unto theLord,That means through prayer.

36 ... and whithersoever thou goestWhen you travel,

36 . .. let it be in the Lord;So I wonder even when you got in the car todrive over to class, did you ask for the Lord'sprotection, or did you just think you deserve the

blessing, you didn't have to ask or remember Him?Wherever you go, it should be with a prayer.36 .. . yea, let all thy thoughts be directedunto the Lord;

So the Lord said look unto him in everythought, want to please Him in all things.36 ... yea, let the affictions of hy heart beplaced upon the Lord forever.

Love Him above all.37. Counsel with the Lord in all thydoings,

That means talk to Him and listen. A lot ofpeople can talk a lot, but who can listen? You haveto be more quiet to listen.37. ...and he will direct theefor good; yea,when thou liest down at night lie down untothe Lord, *** [May want the phrase missinghere}

That means say your prayers and have theburning peace before you go to bed. Some peopleare troubled with bad dreams, unrestful feelings inthe night. I tell you, ladies, before you go to bed,make sure you have prayed fervently and doneevery duty so you feel the burning peace. And usethe word "dedicate". "I dedicate myself and thisroom unto thee, and ask for your Spirit and theguardian angels to be here." Make sure you feelthe peace before you retire to bed.

37 ... and when thou risest in the morninglet thy heart be full of hanks unto God;So your first thought should be a, "Thank you,Heavenly Father," when you wake up. And ifyouwake up in the middle of the night, that should beyour first thought: "I love you. Thank you. Irejoice in you, Heavenly Father."

37 ... and ifye do these things, ye shall belifted up at the last day.A person who doesn't pray will die spiritually.Father called them dead people walking around,darkened because they wouldn't reach for the lightthrough prayer. Prayer is our very way oflife. Sowe have taught you prayer is to the spirit as thebreath of life is to the body. A moment withoutbreathing, you can feel it. Your body getsdesperate. Go very long without breathing and youdie. You know that. It is the same for our spirit.

Anevil spirit whispering selfish or bad feelings wantsyou to not pray, because the instant you startpraying, the devil knows he has to go away. If youlearn to pray always with the Spirit of prayeralways in you, then you are in a dedicatedcondition, and then you have, through HeavenlyFather's gifts, you bind satan and his whisperingsof temptation never touch you, because you areliving in God and unto Him through prayer andrevelation.

Suppose the Lord said to me, "Gather yourfamily and at 8:00 tonight," whatever day it was, "Iwill come and visit you if you are ready." came and just thought, "Well, the Lord will come."If your mind is distracted from the oneness Hewould be offended and He wouldn't come. Whena blessing is offered, when a promise is given for agroup of people, every mind and heart has to beyearning, everyone, for that one thing. There hasto be a oneness. And so when we come in groupprayer, your mind can't be over here and over thereon other things. In group prayer, one personspeaks and everyone else repeats the exact wordsspoken by that person; but inside of every one ofusthere is a spiritual yearning, a reaching, a want to.You yearn, like something goes up and out of youto Heavenly Father, and all of us in group prayerrepeating the same words, and everyone with thatspiritual yearning, that is a prayer of faith for agroup of people that the Lord will hear. Then wewill have a dedicated home. We will be protected.We will have the blessings everybody needs.

The Lord has called upon us to repent of ourselfish prayers. Selfish prayers are wanting thegifts of the Spirit of God just for yourself, and youstop there. The prayer of oneness is the prayer offaith. And a prayer of oneness is to reach for thegifts and return them by praying for our Priesthoodhead and thus the work of God to be blessed, anduse our energies and gifts to do the will of thoseover us. So your prayers, to be prayers of faith,must be in oneness with the Priesthood over you.If you are dIfferent In your deSIres, then you don'thave a prayer of faith.

My prayer of oneness was always, "HeavenlyFather, I want to do your will through my fatherwhom you have placed over me." In oneness withthe Priesthood over me, my prayers were exerted,and only then would the Lord hear my prayers todo my father's will. So my very life is swallowedup to do the will ofmy father, swallowed up in hiswill, and thus Heavenly Father's. Any prayeroutside of the will of the Priesthood over you is aselfish prayer. So if the will of those over you isgoing a certain direction, and you have a desireoutside of that, different, you don't have a prayerof faith. Your prayers have to be in oneness withthe prayers of those over you, where those overyou are inspired in doing the will of God.

You need to know God. You will know Himthrough His Spirit. You receive His Spirit throughprayer. And prayer is our way ofthinking, feeling,

desiring. Think through prayer. Feel throughprayer, the burning peace of the Holy Spirit. Faithis the first step of all good. Faith, or prayer, is thefirst principle of the Gospel. A principle is a wayoflife. Prayer must become your very way of life.Then you can become like God.It is so beautiful to read in the scriptures that

even our Savior, appearing to the Nephites, afterHe was resurrected, able to dwell in heaven, whenHe came among the Nephites, even He prayed.Listen to these beautiful prayers.3 Nephi 1916. And it came to pass that he

Jesus,16. ...spake unto the multitude, andcommanded them that they should kneeldown again upon the earth, and also that hisdisciples should kneel down upon the earth.17. And it came to pass that when they

had all knelt down upon the earth, hecommanded his disciples that they shouldpray.

18. And behold, they began to pray; andthey did pray unto Jesus, calling him theirLord and their God.

19. And it came to pass that Jesusdeparted out of he midst of hem, and went alittle way offfrom them and bowed himself othe earth, and he said:Look how natural His prayers are:

20. Father, I thank thee that thou hastgiven the Holy Ghost unto these whom I havechosen; and it is because of heir beliefin methat I have chosen them out of he world.21. Father, Ipray thee that thou wilt givethe Holy Ghost unto all them that shallbelieve in their words.22. Father, thou hast given them the HolyGhost because they believe in me; and thou

seest that they believe in me because thouhearest them, and they pray unto me; andthey pray unto me because I am with them.23. And now Father, I pray unto thee forthem, and also for all those who shall believeon their words, that they may believe in me,that I may be in them as thou, Father, art inme, that we may be one.

the believers in this Book ofMormon. So here wasour Savior, an exalted God, and yet all Hiscommunication with His Father was prayer. Hewent back to look at the disciples and the answerwas there. His Father answered Him. He didn 'tstop there and just say "Yes, we got the blessing."He went back and prayed again a thank-youprayer.24. And it came to pass that when Jesushad thus prayed unto the Father, he cameunto his disciples, and behold, they did stillcontinue, without ceasing, to pray unto him;

He was praying for them. They were prayingunto Him and for Him. The channel ofprayer wasopen. That meant there could be a free flow of theHoly Spirit to them.24. . . .and they did not multiply many

words, for it was given unto them what theyshould pray, and they were fil led with desire.With revelation ofwhat to pray for.

25. And it came to pass that Jesus blessedthem as they did pray unto him; and hiscountenance did smile upon them, and thelight afhis countenance did shine upon them,and behold they were as white as thecountenance and also the garments ofJesus;and behold the whiteness thereof did exceedall the whiteness, yea, even there could benothing upon earth so white as the whitenesstlrefetJoj26. And Jesus said unto them: Pray on;nevertheless they did not cease to pray.

27. And he turnedfrom them again, andwent a little way offand bowed himself o theearth; and he prayed again unto the Father,saying:

28. Father, I thank thee that thou hastpurified those whom I have chosen, becauseoftheirfaith, and Iprayfor them, andalsoforthem who shall believe on their words, thatthey may be purified in me, through faith ontheir words, even as they are purified in me.

29. Father, I pray not for the world, butfor those whom thou hast given me out of heworld, because of heir faith, that they may bepurified in me, that I may be in them as thou,Father, art in me, that we may be one, that Imay be glorified in them.

30. And when Jesus had spoken thesewords he came again unto his disciples; and

behold they did pray steadfastly, withoutceasing, unto him; and he did smile uponthem again;That meant they were living in His approval.

30 ... and behold they were white, even asJesus.

31. And it came to pass that he went againa little way offand prayed unto the Father;32. And tongue cannot speak the wordswhich he prayed, neither can be written byman the words which he prayed.

After they did all this, He told them to stand andstop praying out loud, but He told them theyshould not cease to pray in their hearts. A prayer isa sacred covenant with Heavenly Father, a sacredpromise. Whenever you pray, asking for Hisblessings, you are also promising you will obeyHim and use His blessings to do His will. Prayer isso special. Prayer is the exertion of the mindthrough words with a spiritual energy exerted,reaching up to Heavenly Father; and you listen andyou obey through prayer.

I would like to see all of us - the Lord wouldlike to see all of us - pray before we speak. Toplease Him in your praying always, you should askHim what to do next, as you complete ajob or do athing. And it would be wise for all of you to askHim where you need to do better and also to thinktbe t b Q ' l ~ b t i l tbat U7Q'lld ~ l e i i t ile Him iR. QR.eR.eililwith the Priesthood over you.

Some of you have witnessed to me thatsomething has awakened you in the night with thethought, "Pray for Warren." Even the angels wantyou to exert faith for the Priesthood over you to bestrengthened, because it is for your benefit for youto be blessed. So prayer has to be in oneness withthe Priesthood over you, centered in HeavenlyFather to do His will through the Priesthood overyou.Whenever you sit down with a good Priesthoodbook, first ask the Lord that He will help youunderstand. Tell Him, "I do believe what 1 amabout to read from your words through theProphets. Bless me with your Spirit. Show mewhere to do better or to learn something new."Read the scriptures with a prayer. Through prayeryou open your mind and heart to listen and receivethe sweet whisperings.

I was impressed with the story of one of thewives of Joseph Smith the Prophet, how as a younggirl she would go out in the wilderness and praymany times in the day, and she would invite othergirls to come pray with her. She was out in theworld, but she loved to pray and feel the Spirit ofprayer. When the elders came to her father'sfamily and taught the Gospel, she believed. Shefelt the Spirit ofGod witness to her the truth of theProphet Joseph Smith. And this girl that prayedalways was recognized by the Lord and theProphet as a girl who would receive His message.In Joseph Smith's time, plural marriage was veryprivate, and the Prophet Joseph had to be carefulwho he talked to about it. But the Prophet was ledto that certain girl, and when she heard Histestimony, she prayed, and through prayer shealready knew how to listen and follow the sweetwhisperings, and she received his message and shewillingly was sealed to the Prophet.

You are only close to me through your prayersto Heavenly Father. You will only know Him andme through prayer. You will only accomplish thismission through constant prayer. And prayershould become ajoy. It is not a burden or a pain ora hardship. As you are walking along, you have ayearning after Heavenly Father. Prayer should beyour very thoughts and feelings so that you arealways led by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Godoperates mtough the prayers Of me people whohave the Spirit of God, and the Lord does it.

There are stories in the Book ofMormon wherewe are shown there is a greater degree of the Spiritof God. That greater degree can even be seen asfire.

Helaman 522. And after they

Nephi and his brother Lehi,22 ... had been cast into prison many days

without food, behold, theyThe Lamanites,

22. ...went forth into the prison to takethem that they might slay them.23. And it came to pass that Nephi andLehi were encircled about as if by fire, eveninsomuch that they durst not lay their handsupon them for fear lest they should be burned.

The heavenly fire is the Spirit of life.23....Nevertheless, Nephi and Lehi werenot burned; and they were as standing in themidst offire and were not burned. ***

When the Lamanites prayed, then thishappened:

43. And it came to pass that when theycast their eyes about, and saw that the cloudof darkness was dispersed fromovershadowing them, behold, they

The Lamanites,43....saw that they were encircled about,yea every soul, by a pillar offire.44. AndNephi andLehi were in the midst

of hem; yea, they were encircled about; yea,they were as if n the midst ofa flaming fire,yet it did harm them not, neither did it takehold upon the walls of the prison; and theywere filled with that joy which is unspeakableand full ofglory.

45. And behold, the Holy Spirit of Goddid come down from heaven, and did enterinto their hearts, and they were filled as ifwith fire,

A burning peace and joy within.45. ...and they could speak forthmarvelous words.

And then they saw the angels come down out ohell v ft, and th:e l l n : ~ e h ettme ttftd talked t6 tftem:.Why? Because they were filled with the Spirit oGod. The Holy Ghost is heavenly fire. It can befelt. Everything I have described here is thatheavenly fire giving the blessing, and the Spirit oGod obeys Heavenly Father' s will. It only obeysHeavenly Father's will and carries out His will. Sofor your prayers to be prayers of faith, they must bewithin the will of Heavenly Father. Every prayermust be a prayer of oneness with God and thePriesthood over you, oneness with the will ofGodand the will of the Priesthood over you. If yourprayers don't seem to be answered, just maybeyour will isn't perfectly in tune with the will ofthose over you.

Now what are you going to do about this? Ihope when you go to your rooms tonight you willask for faith in your prayers, which is the Spirit oGod to be in your prayers, and tell Heavenly Fatheryou want to know Him. You want to know His

Spirit and learn it, and you want to be close to Himand the Priesthood over you. Don't just go to yourroom and have a habit ofmemorized prayer and goto bed. Go to your room, kneel down, or whereveryou say your private prayer, and want to knowHeavenly Father and His Spirit. You have beensent here to do this work. It is because we don'twant it strong enough that we are not getting theblessing yet. We are so satisfied with the blessingswe have, we are not wanting the blessing we havebeen sent here to get, strong enough, which is toknow God, to know His Spirit, to be filled with thatall-consuming heavenly fire in His time, that youwill know Him when He appears. You must knowthat fire from heaven, that feeling within. For youto have eternal life you must know God yourselfthrough prayer and through His Spirit.

Okay, ladies. I hope you will take this as areview training, and ifanything new has been said,

thank the Lord for it and come alive. I assure youthat heaven is a place ofpraying always. And to bethere and to stay there, you can't have even oneminute without prayer. The best feeling you canever have is the heavenly fire burning within, theHoly Spirit ofGod. It lifts you up. It is heavenlyjoy. It is every good thing. And it flows fromheaven through Priesthood to you. That is whyyou pray for the Priesthood over you to have aproper prayer. I think you are doing it. The Lordshowed me that the people on this land of refugeneed to be more fervent. We pray, but we have tohave that spiritual energy exerted and not stop.Beware of pride also means beware of forgettingyour prayers. A spiritual mind is a prayerful mind,reaching for the strength ofheaven. I love you all.Let us close this with prayer and have ourkneel-down nightly prayer together.
