Spirax-Sarco TD42 Thermodynamic Steam Traps The TD42 series of Spirax-Sarco Thermodynamic (Impulse) steam traps come with an integral blowdown valve port, thereby allowing you to install a full-port, lock out ball valve (or OEM Spirax- Sarco BD Valve) to “blow down” accumulated sediment from the integral stainless steel screen. These Spirax-Sarco TD42 Thermodynamic steam traps are ideal for steam tracing lines and process equipment where size and efficiency are important. These TD42 steam traps discharge condensate very close to steam temperature - Allowing the steam “space” to be kept virtually free of condensate. The TD42L are standard capacity steam traps; the TD42H are higher capacity traps. Available in NPT pipe sizes from ½” to 1” in the Model TD42L and ½” to ¾” in Model TD42H. Integral 304SS stainless steel strainer protects steam trap from dirt and scale. Blowdown port allows you to attach a blowdown valve to clear sediment from the screen. Stainless Steel body - Maximum steam operating pressures to 600 psig. Maximum operating temperature to 752° F.
