NOTICE ALL BIDDERS FOR THE: Kansas Department of Transportation KDOT Gage Subarea Mods Topeka, Kansas You are instructed to read and to note the following described changes, corrections, clarifications, omissions, deletions, additions, approvals and statements pertinent to the Contract Bid and Construction Documents. The Addendum No. 2 is a part of the Contract Bid and Construction Documents and shall govern in the performance of the Work. Article 2-1, Pre-bid meeting attendance and notes: (Attachment)
A. A Pre-bid meeting via Zoom (virtual meeting) was held on July 21,2020. Attendance was taken by chat in the zoom meeting and verbally by architect. See attachment at end of Addendum for Pre-bid attendance and Pre-bid meeting agenda and notes
Article 2-2, Specifications – General Note for all Specifications:
A. It shall be the responsibility of all manufacturers listed within the project manual to provide documentation that they meet all specification requirements as part of the shop drawing process. If manufacturer cannot meet all requirements, manufacturer shall either manufacture custom products to do so or not bid on the work. By bidding the work, it shall indicate that manufacturer is aware of all requirements and agree to be in full compliance with all specification and drawing requirements. This shall include all manufacturers approved by addendum.
Article 2-3, Specifications – Division 01, Section 011000:
A. Remove subparagraph 1.7.B.1. from specifications.
Article 2-4, Revision of Sheet L2.01: (Attachment)
A. See attached, revised, sheet L2.01 for Bollard detail. Reference architectural floor plan for Bollard count (39).
Article 2-5, Revision of Sheet E5.02: (Attachment)
A. See attached, revised, sheet E5.02 for Ground Connections Detail. Reference the revised detail for the subtraction of additional bonding per NEC.
Article 2-6, Substitution Requests:
A. The following light fixture manufacturer’s provided by Foley Lighting are noted as acceptable substitutions:

General Agenda for Pre-Bid Meeting July 21, 2020, 10 AM, Via Zoom meeting Project: A-013861 Kansas Department of Transportation KDOT Gage Subarea Mods Topeka, Kansas This meeting was run by the project architect- Angie Haden. Introductions of all personnel associated with the project (agency, OFPM-DCC, project architect/engineers). Attendance List -- Each participant will add their name & contact to the chat part of zoom for attendance – verbal attendance was also taken by architect. Architect/Engineer reviewed the following: 1. Bid opening date is August 20, 2020 2. Bids are opened by Procurement and Contracts. 3. Questions concerning bid bonds, performance bonds, public works bonds insurance, etc. are directed to
Purchases at 785-296-0408. 4. Bid Form: Described and listed out the Add Alternates; sub-contractors required to be listed and
completion days/date. 5. Substitutions: All requests to approve equivalent products must be submitted to the architect/engineer no
later than 10 days before the bid date, as stated in the specifications. All approvals will be released via addendum.
6. Tax Clearance requirements for general and subcontractors listed on Form of Bid. 7. Last addendum will be out one week before bid date, August 13, unless bid date is postponed. 8. Review sales tax. 9. The Clark Enersen Partners gave general description of site & building scope. 10. Opened the meeting up for discussion and questions- No questions. 11. KDOT stated that the existing facility and surrounding areas will be in operation during construction. 12. Email architect with name and contact of person(s) who will be going to the site walks as listed below.
Limit of 10 people per site walk. Please wear mask and keep social distancing rules—the building will be occupied by staff at time of walk through.
