The crime index of Guatemala for this year is 85.13 (Crime Levels up to 50 are reasonable, and crime index levels closer to 100 are too high.

There’s an overcrowded access to the bank and the bank lines (There is 16 bank access points for every 10,000 people) Guatemala has a population of 16 million people and less than 10% has a credit card. Must people uses cash only.

When you use a debit card many of the stores charged you with an additional 5% of your payment. It’s very common that banks charged you with not authorised fees. (like account management, debit card use, online banking user, etc.)

74.5% of the population works on informal economy and has no access to accept credit/debit card in their business CASH ONLY!

The Problem

…It doesn’t matter WHERE does he or she made the transaction…

…It doesn’t matter WHICH credit/debit card does he use or to which bank does that credit/debit card belongs to…

And… it doesn’t matter because is always Visa or Master Card who approves the transaction.

FRI is a prepaid virtual debit card designed with the idea of facilitate money exchange between unbanked users and to be used as a payment gateway system (like Visa or Master Card) in any kind of business (Banked or unbanked).
