About Event:The day-long Startup-Mentor Meetup is organized in collaboration with TiE-Ahmedabad and The Billenium Divas by i-Hub, SSIP Cell, Education Department, Government of Gujarat under its unique Flagship Programme of SSIP Saathi. During the day, startups and mentors will get to explore opportunities for long-time association. At the events, startups will pitch and after that, both sides will be engaged in turn-based face-to-face conversation, where they present themselves and discuss the challenges faced by startups. In the end, both parties choose whom to be matched with in order of priority and will explore opportunities for further progressive stages.

About SSIP Policy:To inculcate culture of innovation amongst the students and to provide a conducive environment for optimum harnessing of their creative pursuit, The Education Department, Government of Gujarat has issued Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) 2017-2021.

About i-Hub:Gujarat Student Startup and Innovation Hub, registered under Section 8 of the companies Act 2013, is envisioned to be a nexus for all Startup stakeholders to develop an end-to-end innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the State of Gujarat by creating pathways from “Mind-to-Market”. i-hub is a vibrant incubation setup establ ished under SSIP by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat.Uniquely designed, i-Hub is an amalgamation of modernistic cutting-edge infrastructure, agile, flexible and collaborative co-working spaces to spark real interaction and flow of ideas, focused mentoring, networking, customer connect, investment opportunities, support mechanisms and futuristic labs, all under one roof. It penetrates support to the last mile students and creates a decentralized facility for best possible pre-incubation, incubation and acceleration.i-Hub, a catalyst in creating a stronger startup regime across the state with its cohesive approach in inculcating entrepreneurial spirit in the youth.i-hub undertakes strategic interventions to develop a benchmark incubation support system in the state by linking students, academia, industry and society at large.

The startup-mentor linkage programs and our other initiatives are all made with this framework in mind.
