The SEP aims at offering an integrated pan-European platform to help the best startupsemerge from these local ecosystems and scale-up.

It connects top European startups to largecorporates.

This means: procurement (corporates buyproducts and services from startups), strategicinvestments and eventually acquisition/acqui-hires.

The EDF is a first-of-its kind think tank dedicated toempowering tech entrepreneurs and growingEurope’s digital economy. It gives a voice in publicpolicy to the continent’s most enterprising andinnovative entrepreneurs.

The European Digital Forum aspires to becomeEurope’s leading think tank and policy network ondigital economy and digital entrepreneurshipissues.

Network of universities in EU interested in developing MOOCs for web talent

The network connects MOOC providers in order tofoster the talent of ICT and web entrepreneurs, andcreate new jobs that benefit both the EU economyand society as a whole.

Media campaign

DG Connect is organizing a 6 months media campaign covering 6 Member States (Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus and Slovakia) with high unemployment rate

to raise more awareness about the startup culture.

Goals:• Attracting young unemployed people to ICT/web careers:• Promoting entrepreneurship• Delivering the EC commitment to help create jobs• Leveraging DG CONNECT actions on digital skills and jobs

ICT 13 – 2014: Web entrepreneurship

• €10M funding will be allocated to projects to accelerate web

entrepreneurship in Europe

• The challenge is to create an environment in Europe that encourages

more web entrepreneurs to start a business in Europe and grow

internationally.

• Deadline for applying: 23/04/2014 at 17:00pm (CET)

• We are already in the process of allocating €10M for activities that strengthen theenvironment for web entrepreneurship in Europe and that exploit synergies acrossstakeholder communities.

• The challenge is to create an environment in Europe that encourages more webentrepreneurs to start a business in Europe and grow internationally.
