The game of economic competition has new rules. Firms should be fast and responsive. This requires responding to customer’s needs for quality, variety, customization, convenience and timeliness. Meeting these new standards requires a workforce that is technically trained in all respects. To survive and flourish in the present day corporate jungle, companies should invest time and money in upgrading the knowledge and skills of their employees constantly. Here arises the necessity of “Training” since any company that stops injecting itself with intelligence is going to die.

This dissertation is intended to give an insight to one of the primary initiative of all the corporates i.e. “Training”being followed in HCL Infosystems Limited. The report begins with a brief overview about objectives of the study and goes on to elaborate on the need and significance of the study. It proceeds further with the methodologies being followed and how the data is collected, analyzed and interpreted. This mainly dealt with the Company profile elaborated followed by the analysis, statistical analysis and is concluded with recommendations and suggestions. In this project, I have learned many things about training and development programs carried out through HCL Learning Limited.

This project gives us the idea about usage of trainings in various corporates of India. It also helps us to get an insight into the given vertical and to know about various benefits of training in the corporates. Project gives an introduction to the concept of trainings techniques adopted by various corporatesas per their needs and requirements. Further the project gives introduction to India’s leading IT companyHindustan Computers Limited (HCL)and its subsidiaryi.e.HCL Learning Ltd.

Since in business, almost all the companies and their operations are majorly dependent upon Information Technology, and even the small base companies are also getting digital or in other words they are hiring more computers and IT related products instead of people and to handle these IT related products employees need proper training of IT as well as non IT skills. This project gives the information about how training in Information Technology and Non Information Technology field is helping companies to grow faster and in more efficient way. ABSTRACT OF WORK DONE

Duringthe tenure of my summer internship in HCL I have visited various IT companies of

Gurgaon, Delhi and Noida by getting appointment through cold andunsolicited visits to present

proposal of HCL Learning Ltd to the HR or head of Training and Development team (if available

in that respective company).Corporate training is being provided to various private corporates,

individuals and government organizations by corporate training Division of HCL Learning Ltd.

HCL Learning Ltd is working separately since 1st November 2013 earlier it was part of HCL

Infosystems

During my internship I have visited over 150 (IT, manufacturing, retail and

export)companies in Gurgaon, Noida, Delhi and have collected various kind of data from those

companies about number of employees, if company is already providing any kind of training to

the employees and if they do then what kind of training is being provided to the employees,

number of employees that are going through that training program, then after briefing them about

HCL Learning LtdI used to present the proposal of corporate training division of HCL Learning

Ltd that what kind of training HCL can provide and the approximate costing structure of training

programs. If the company’s representative shows interest, then I arrange themeeting of my

seniorwith that HR so that ifany kind of negotiation is needed from either side that can be done

and finallywe can start up with the training program.

During my Internship my aim was to reach maximum number of companies in

Delhi and NCR region to sell the Corporate Training of HCL, collect data from all those

companies before and after training program and finally apply the analysis tools on the collected

data to know the impact and effect of training on corporates and to find out about the current

training trend in the corporate world.
