Latency and JitterLatency

Delay between the chunks (packets) of data as it travels from the start point to the destination. The delay between packets is constant. Results in an overall delay from start to end of message which is noticeable to the human ear.

Jitter

Variation in the delay between packets. Results in a stuttering effect in the voice call.
