• Due to site welding of Hopper- BURP1 in Segment -1, we suggest double groove spot weld instead of Single groove .

• Snapshot and detail drawing is attached for reference. Please kindly check and confirm (After discussions with production unit in China by our site team)

• Stub Columns is shop welded to heavy part of Hopper-segment-1

• While erecting it to beam the bolt clearance is just 2 mm, which will cause alignment difficulty in erection.

• The vertical bracings in between the Stub Columns have insufficient space for erecting at site

Shell Supporting Stub Columns in Hopper for Site welding

• After erecting the beams the Stub Columns may be bolted easily• Vertical bracings can be erected.• Finally the Hopper segment -1 can be erected to the stub columns and welded at site • Punch marks of stub column numbers will be provided at the bottom of segment -1 for easy identification and alignment
