'START SCHOOL with ROTARY‘Project in Malaysia.

The object of the project is to help identified needy students start school next year, 2010. 

Free school bags, uniforms and shoes were presented to 100 selected young students from 9 schools in and around Johor Bahru, Ulu Tiram and Kota Tinggi in the state of Johor.These items are worth RM130.00 (~ US$38) to each student.

The project was also planned to promote the good public image of Rotary and used the platform of Rotary ‘Humanity in Motion’ theme to create Rotary awareness too. The event was held in a busy shopping mall and the press was invited. It was a success.
