Teacher’s Instructions
This multi-choice quiz has no absolute ‘winner’! The idea is for all of the teams to avoid elimination by staying ahead of their nearest rival on the circle of ‘heads’.
Before starting you need to split your class into 5 teams and assign them a ‘Head’ colour of either Green, Purple, Red, Blue of Orange. Cut out a set of answer cards (slide 3) for each team (or use another method of establishing a team’s answer, e.g. mini whiteboards).
Start the slideshow from slide 1. Show the Instruction by clicking on the appropriate button.
Click on ‘Start New Game’ and the first question will appear. Give your students the appropriate amount of time to decide on their answer. Once decided, they can all show you their answer option. Click on the button to reveal the correct answer and then on the button ‘Click here to start moving the Heads’. Click on the colour of the Head of each team that answered correctly and then click the button underneath. This will move the ‘Heads’ of each team that was correct.
Repeat this for each of the other 9 questions. If a ‘Head’ catches up with another team that team will be eliminated! You may wish to allow the eliminated team to join with the team who caught them up!
In this game you will be asked up to 10 multiple choice questions on key
topics that you have covered.
Your task is to ‘stay ahead’ of your opponents by answering questions
correctly.
Your team has been given 4 cards showing either A, B, C
or D.
The teacher will show you a question and your team must
decide which is the correct answer. When directed you
must hold up the appropriate card to show what you think
is the correct answer.
If you get the answer correct you will move one place around the circle on the screen (clockwise). Get the answer incorrect and you will remain where you are on the circle.
Should one of the other teams catch you
up, you will be
eliminated! The aim of the game is to ‘stay a head’ – don’t
get eliminated!
