TENA WILSONExecutive Director,

Stark County District Library

WeLCome to a Smarter future!Your library will have a new look and a new focus on getting

smarter together.Walk into your closest Stark County District Library

after September 2 and you’ll be seeing some new things and experiencing a newer, brighter attitude. On that date, we’re introducing our new theme and our enhanced commitment to a community that’s smarter than ever.

When you enter your library, you’ll be walking into The Smart Store™, where everything is free.™ We call it The Smart Store because it’s your store of knowledge. We say that everything is free — from books and other media to programs and events — because the library already belongs to you.

Sure, you’ll still have access to more than a million items to borrow, but be on the lookout for smarter selections and services.

Get smarter without being penalized for it ► No more overdue fines!

Get access when you need it ► Our new 24/7 online library at TheSmartStore.org ► Express service for check-outs and holds

Get services and added convenience ► Color copying ► Wireless printing ► Free faxing ► Free Wi-Fi

Let’s make our smart introduction even more special. During the month of September, bring in a canned food item for those in need … and all of your library fines will be forgiven. You can get a smart start by participating in “Food for No Fines.”

Your library serves 240,000 people, so at any given moment, somebody in the service area is awake. That’s why the new 24/7 online library is so important. Visit TheSmartStore.org to reserve, renew or sign up for a free program or class. Check it out!

If it looks like we’re trying harder, we are! We don’t have the resources or the reach to compete with an Amazon, but we can give you something they cannot: a whole lotta free! And by “free,” I mean that everything here is here thanks to your support, because your Stark County District Library already belongs to you.

Let’s get smart together!
