1. Draw a diagonal line on the back of low volume squares.2. Place a foreground square and background square rightsides together. Sew 1/4” on both sides of drawn line.

2. Cut directly on drawn line. Press seams open. Trim to 4.5”. There will be (2) HSTsper set.

1. Lay out your squares as shown in the diagram to the right. Sew each row of squares together. Press seams in alternating directions.

2. Sew rows together. Press seams open.

3. Repeat for a total of 25 blocks.

Quilt Layout1. Lay out blocks 5 across and 5 down.

2. Referring to the quilt top assembly diagram, sew each row together. Press seams in open or alternating directions.

3. Sew rows together. Press.

Finishing1. Make backing. The backing should be the same size as the batting. (see page 1).

Other Quilt Sizes

Crib Quilt - 36x48” - needs 3 blocks across and for the length - 12 blocks total.

Large Throw - 60x72” - needs 5 blocks across and 6 for the length - 30 blocks total.

Twin - 72x84” - needs 6 blocks across and 7 for the length - 42 blocks total.

Queen - 84x96” - needs 7 blocks across and 8 for the length - 56 blocks total.
