IntroductionIntroductionThe STaR Chart is designed to help campuses

determine their progress toward meeting both the Texas Long-Range Plan for Technology (2006-

2020) and district goals. These goals are developed around the four key domains of the

STaR Chart.

Each of the four domains contain six areas that are rated on a scale from 1 – 4 and then combined for a total score between 6-

24 in each domain.

6-8 points = Early Tech

9-14 points = Developing Tech

15-20 points = Advanced Tech

21-24 points = Target Tech

ConclusionConclusion•The scores for CHS have been inconsistent in all areas for the three years scored.

•The faculty and leadership team must accept the challenge to improve in all key areas.

•Classroom Teacher’s Focus:

•implement technology in their daily instruction including online learning, take advantage of Professional Development that emphasizes the use of technology, assist students in the mastery of technology by encouraging the use of technology in the classroom

• Administration’s Focus:

•plan and budget to improve the infrastructure and opportunities for technology learning for teachers and students, communicate and collaborate with others who can provide assistance in these areas, emphasis the importance of a strong technical support team and the capacity for distance learning.
