OUR HERITAGEIn 2014, Globe celebrated 100 years

of continuous production of Globe

Sprinklers and Valves, longer than any

other sprinkler manufacturer. Charles

Garrett, of the Garrett Sprinkler

Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, began

production of the first Globe sprinkler

in 1914. Consolidating operations

with Merchant & Evans, Globe moved

its production to Philadelphia,

Pennsylvania in 1916. In 1975 the

company moved to its present

location in Standish, Michigan.

In 1988, Globe was purchased by

the late Robert C. Worthington, P.E.,

whose leadership instilled a sense

of pride and commitment to high-

quality U.S. produced products, a

family-friendly workplace rooted in

the community, and the philosophy

that long-term relationships are

the foundation of success in both

personal and business life.

OPERATIONSSince 2013, over 100,000 square

feet have been added to Globe’s

Standish, Michigan facility. Expansion

in production, distribution, and

administrative offices has enabled

Globe to exceed the growing

demands of the fire sprinkler industry.

The addition of a new Quality Control

Laboratory, coupled with clean

efficient workspaces has allowed

Globe to simultaneously increase

production and improve quality.

Standish, Michigan, accelerating product development and testing programs.• Created seasoned Technical Services, Engineering and New Technologies

teams, committed to delivering practical innovation, product support, and industry education.

• Filed over 15 patents in 18 months.

Recent product introductions include:• RCW Water Control Valve — The industry’s lightest and most compact valve

used to control Dry, Deluge, and Preaction fire suppression systems. The RCW features: A patent-pending Low Friction Roller Arm that allows for free movement of the lever arm assembly in the presence of corrosion or debris. Patent-pending Red and Green Color-coded Ball Valve Handles indicating normally open (Green) and closed (Red) position.

• Model IC Interstitial Combustible Sprinkler A quick response, upright, specific application sprinkler designed to protect Light Hazard combustible concealed spaces. The Model IC may be installed in both Steel and CPVC systems, with best-in-class design characteristics including: Protection of up to 60” high spaces 16’ Maximum Spacing for all construction types and depths Up to 256 ft2 maximum coverage area
