CONCLUSIONAIM AND OBJECTIVESAIM:To itemize the various types of maintenance and also to highlight the maintenance practices in Weafri.
MAINTENANCE OBJECTIVES:To increase functional reliability of operation facilities
To maximize the useful life of equipment
To minimize frequency of interruptions
To enhance the safety of environment and manpower
To enable desired quality through correctly adjusted, serviced, and operated equipment.INTRODUCTION: What is maintenance?Maintenance is the act of keeping equipment in a good working condition by servicing and checking them regularly.
READY TO GOGREENBENEFITS OF GOOD MAINTENANCE PRACTICEReduces breakdown and down time.Increases equipment life span and its efficiency.Less odd-time repair and reduces over time of crews.Greater safety of workers and environment.Lower maintenance and repair cost.
DISADVANTAGES OF BAD MAINTENANCE PRACTICEIncreases chances of accidents and less safety of both workers and machines.Result in down time.Direct lost of profit.More damage to equipment.Faster equipment deterioration.Excessive delay in production and reduces output.Breakdown generally occurs inappropriately leading to poor and hurried maintenance.

REDRECOMMENDATIONSLet there be no communication gap among account, procurement and store department to avoid downtime and unnecessary stress on the personnel.Lets accommodate more vendors in procuring of materials. There should be a detailed report of equipment status submitted to the maintenance supervisor by the equipment end users.Good housekeeping must be imbibed by all.Just as it is done for outstanding performance in safety observance and driving, outstanding maintenance culture should also be rewarded. CONCLUSION:It is necessary to keep machines, tools, and equipment in a good working condition in order to achieve desired result. If the working equipment are in good running condition, the products obtained will be of required quality and the process will be reliable. Therefore it is inevitably important to maintain our equipment. Thanks for listening.
