Dear Infant Jesus Parishioners, It is a great joy to share with you that the bishop has called me to be ordained as a priest for our diocese. I am grateful to God for this calling and to the bishop for his trust. The ordination is planned for Saturday, June 20th at 10:30am at Christ Our Light Parish in Cherry Hill. Though usually all are encouraged to come, it seems there will be limitations due to the pandemic. For anyone interested, the ordination Mass will be live-streamed on the Camden Diocese YouTube Channel and Facebook Page. The Mass of Thanksgiving ("first Mass") will be held on Sunday, June 21st at 3:30pm at St Rose of Lima Parish in Haddon Heights. Again, the pandemic will limit what would otherwise be a very big and warm invite. That Mass too will be live-streamed and it will be on the St Rose of Lima Facebook Page. On the following weekend, June 27-28, I look forward to speaking to you at every parish Mass during the homily. Please know of my gratitude for the wonderful and generous care and support you have shown me this past year, including your faith-filled and sustaining prayers. May God bless each of you, your families, and Infant Jesus Parish! With gratitude and prayers, Deacon John

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Today we celebrate the most profound precious Gifts of our faith, the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Jesus did not abandon us or left us orphaned after His Ascension to the Father in heaven; but rather He was, is, and will be with us until the end of time in the form of the Eucharist. When Jesus said: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood will have life eternal” (John 6:54), He meant that whoever united to me, received me, or was in communion with me, would have eternal life with me in heaven. For this reason, the Church constantly reminds the faithful the need of attending Mass regularly on Sunday. Indeed God is everywhere, we don’t have to go to church to pray; however, we cannot be intimately united, connected, and in communion with Jesus except participating in the sacrifice of the Eucharist, the real Body and Blood of Christ. At the Last Supper, Jesus took the bread and wine and directly said to His disciples: “Take and eat it…, take and drink….This is my body…This is the chalice of my blood…” by saying this Jesus meant it, He would not say this unless He really meant it. Therefore, the sacrifice of the Mass is the ultimate source of our salvation and the most intimate union with God. It is the same sacrifice of Jesus Christ offered on Calvary 2000 years ago which is being made present on the altar by the power of the Holy Spirit so that the faithful, from generation to generation, would be able to participate and share in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sake of their salvation. In other words, the sacrifice of the Mass is for those who were not there when Jesus was crucified. We were not there when Jesus was crucified, so let us come every Sunday to be partakers of the Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Christ, the pledge of our eternal life which is only found in the celebration of the sacrifice of the Eucharist. Fr. Joe Pham
WITH PROFOUND GRATITUDE
For YOUR WEEKLY SUNDAY OFFERINGS
In the name of the Risen Christ, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your faithfulness of giving. Your Weekly Sunday Offerings are greatly appreciated especially during this difficult time. It is sad that our communal worship has to be suspended; however our parish’s operational expenses are still incurred. Therefore, every financial offering is so meaningful and essential to the life of our parish. I am truly grateful to you for continuing your financial support during this tough time. Be assured that your financial sacrifices during this time will not be passed away without God’s notice. May many graces and blessings be bestowed upon you and your families. Fr. Joe Pham.

It has been too long for our members with the temporary closure of our weekly Food Pantry, but it has not stopped us from helping our neighbors with contactless delivery of food. Your donations continue to be utilized throughout the broader community as we serve those in need whose lives have been disrupted by COVID-19 and the pandemic. We are grateful for the parish members who continue to support our mission of helping our neighbors. Our prayers and thoughts are
with the entire Infant Jesus Parish community in these days of unrest and uncertainty, but our faith in God and humanity gives us hope for peace and growth. As mass resumes, we look ahead to how we can continue to have people reach us in the highest confidential manner by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling the Infant Jesus SVDP phone line at the rectory: 856-848-0047 extension 112. While our regular pantry hours are still suspended we are available to provide resources, information, and compassionate consultation. Should any parishioner need help or know of someone needing assistance in the coming days please reach out to us through phone or email. You can also refer to our Facebook page (Infant Jesus Parish St. Vincent De Paul Society) for postings on food distribution locations and dates in the Diocese.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
As we reopen our churches after this unprecedented COVID-19 lockdown, there are many state guidelines and requirements that we need to adhere to. These include strict capacity restrictions and social distancing at the churches. Your help is needed to prepare the churches for each Mass as well as to guide the faithful as they arrive for Mass. For each Mass we need: 6 volunteers at St. Margaret Church, and 4 volunteers at St. John Vianney Church. Thanks again on behalf of everyone at Infant Jesus Parish. Prayer for Spiritual Communion
Jesus, I know and believe in your real presence in the most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist.
It is you I desire to love and receive above all things. As I am unable to receive your Sacramental presence now,
come and be with me in heart and soul. Let my entire self be united with you as I welcome you again
and know your loving embrace. Amen!
In an effort to improve our worship and ministries, we are conducting a brief survey to get your input on what we could do better or differently at the parish. Please help us understand how we can better serve you, your family and our neighbors.
The survey can be accessed on the parish website at www.TheInfantJesusParish.org
We realize that the needs and concerns of the faithful may be different for each age group so we encourage each member of your family to fill in a separate
survey. Paper copies of the survey are available at the rectory.

Summer Religious Education Program Infant Jesus Parish Woodbury Heights
Dear Parents/Guardians, As we are aware of the contagiousness of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Governor has continued to impose restrictions on indoor gatherings. Therefore, our Summer Religious Education Program should be cancelled for this year. According to the Diocesan Guidelines: “Parishes that have the ability to conduct on-line religious education program may do so but these cannot be a substitute for the personal interaction that families must have with their parish leaders and the Sacramental life of the parish”. After discussing and considering the on-line program, Sister Vilma Butron, Director of Religious Education, and I have come to the conclusion that the option of an on-line program was not “feasible” due to the lack of personal interaction especially when it is applying to Religious studies. We will continue to keep you informed of any changes or options in the future. We ask for your understanding as we all try to get through these challenging times. Be assured that you and your children are in our daily prayers. May God continue to keep you and your family in his loving care. Sincerely, Fr. Joe Pham Sr. Vilma Butron Pastor Director of Religious Education
