Dear Breeders,

The nature of the bloodstock industry is that each and every year brings fresh challenges as well as new achievements and 2016 has been no different. The main concern is that there has been increased catalogue sizes to cater for a larger foal crop of 2015, so the necessity for breeders to focus on quality and value is more important than ever.

Happily we have witnessed another fantastic year for ACCLAMATION’s progeny on the track with 17 Black Type performers including Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye winner MARSHA and Dual Group 2 winning 2-Y-O MEHMAS. LIMATO has again proved a great advertisement for TAGULA in 2016, when competing at the highest level. He was successful in Group 1 July Cup and Group 1 Prix de la Foret and we look forward to even more successes for him in 2017.

As we write the first crop foals by the Group 2 Winning and Dual Group 1 placed 2-Y-O MOOHAAJIM and the Dual Group 1 Winning Miler, XTENSION, are being prepared for the sales ring and we are confident that you will be impressed by their excellent quality and confirmation.

In 2017 we are proud to introduce two new stallions which will offer breeders a great variety of choice to our existing roster - AJAYA, the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes Winning 2-Y-O by Leading Sire Invincible Spirit from an established stallion producing female line and KODI BEAR, the Group 2 Winner of 4 Stakes Races from 7-8 furlongs, by Multiple Stakes Producing sire Kodiac. We are confident that both horses will fit the varied requirements of breeders, given their diversity of distances, bloodlines and performances and we invite your inspection in person over the coming weeks.

Over the years our National Hunt Stallions have enjoyed tremendous success, but the 2016 Cheltenham Festival proved to be a revelation with a record 6 Black Type Winners sired by our resident stallions, 4 of which were at the top level - Champion Hurdle - ANNIE POWER (SHIROCCO); Neptune Investment Novice Hurdle - YORKHILL (PRESENTING); Ryanair Chase - VATOUR (ROBIN DES CHAMPS) and Gold Cup - DON COSSACK (SHOLOKHOV). Finally, MALINAS, who joined our National Hunt ranks in 2016 was very popular with breeders and we look forward to seeing his first crop of UK conceived foals hitting the track in 2017.

Using the M8 Motorway Bypass

From Dublin: On M8 South Route from Dublin, Exit Junction 15 signposted for Fermoy & Rathcormac. At roundabout take 1st exit followed immediately by 1st turn left signposted Castlelyons - Rathbarry Stud (5m/8km) and Glenview Stud (3m/5km).

From Cork: On M8 North Route from Cork, Exit at Junction 15 signposted for Fermoy and take 3rd exit off roundabout, go under flyover bridge and at 2nd roundabout take 1st exit followed immediately by 1st turn left signposted Castlelyons - Rathbarry Stud (5m/8km) and Glenview Stud (3m/5km).

Avoiding the M8 Motorway Bypass

On M8 South Route from Dublin, Exit at Junction 14 signposted for Fermoy, go into Fermoy, on N8 South Route. Take N72 for Waterford/Tallow at lights in the Square. Continue on N72 for (3m/5km) to McDonnells Grain store. Turn right here on to road for Coolagown and continue to T junction and then take left for Rathbarry (1m/1.5km) and right for Glenview (2m/3km). Alternatively, on the N8 South Route, take N8 for Cork at lights in the Square in Fermoy. At first roundabout take second exit going under flyover bridge. At 2nd roundabout, take 1st exit followed immediately by 1st turn left signposted for Castlelyons - Rathbarry Stud (5m/8km) and Glenview Stud (3m/5km).
