1. 。。。 有 什么 课？ What lesson do you have……..?

Sentence structure: Time + 有 + 什么 课？

Example: 你今天有什么课？

Note 1. 什么 is the same as question word, so it get’s replaced with the answer

eg. 我今天有汉语 （课）。

2. 你上一节 是 什么课？ What lesson did you have last?

Sentence structure: Person + 上一节 + 有 + 什么课？

Note. 什么 is the same as question word, so it get’s replaced with the answer

eg. 我上一节是汉语 （课）。

3. 你下一节 是 什么课？ What lesson did you have next?

4. 因为。。。 。 Because …… .

Activity 3. Write 2 questions and answers using Structure 3 and 4 and 2 sentences for 5.

Note: 就是 here is used to emphasize the description that comes after it.

Eg. 我就是讨厌上体育课。

1. 你在几年级几班？ Which grade and class are you in?

Eg. Q. 你在几年级几班？ A. 我在十年级三班 .

2. 你上几年级？ Which grade are you in?

3. …………. 多久了 ? How long……? Sentence structure: Person + verb object + 多久了？

Example: 你 学汉语 多久了？Note 1. 多长时间 is the same as 多久 2. When answering, also end with a “ 了” denoting a past tense.

eg. 我学了三年了。

4. There is also a long version of this question type.

Sentence structure: Person + verb object verb ( 了 ) + 多久了？

Example: 你 学汉语学（了） 多久了？
