Recording timing of lighting, sound, and set changes.

Assisting the director during rehearsal.

Communicating with cast and crew.

Goal for the stage manager is to ensure that the director’s vision of the production is brought to life.

Education Education or training required for

stage manager is not clear-cut. Useful– have bachelor’s degree in

theatre, and some stage manager have Master’s in Fine Arts.
