about stage 17 racing

stage 17 racing is a developmental cycling team based in southern california that

provides a professional atmosphere for cyclists between the ages of 18 and 25, helping

prepare them for the next level. we serve to bridge the gap between unpolished junior

athletes and well trained professionals. we teach accountability, responsibility and

maturity. we strive to never make the same mistake twice.

the 2013 season will mark the second year for stage 17 racing.

these two that lends itself to commercial sponsorship.

you’re also indirectly supporting stage17.org, the nonprofit arm focused on improving the health and

quality of life of adolescents through cycling as a form of transportation and recreation.

we have high expectations for this team at stage 17 racing, both on and off the bike. sponsors interested

in forming long term relationships should be made aware that we have many long term goals that extend

past the domestic races outlined in the manifesto. a few races on our extended radar include classics

across the pond such as the u23 parix roubaix and u23 tour of flanders. back at home, we aim to bring the

boys to two of the largest stage races in north america -- tour of utah and tour of california.

marketing strategy

stage 17 so cal u25 omnium

we will be partnering with several important races in southern california including the ladera ranch

grand prix and the irvine great park series to offer an omnium open to u25 riders only. we will offer a

jersey that will be worn during each race that is a part of the stage 17 so cal u25 omnium by the leader. the

overall leader will be announced at the ladera ranch grand prix in late august and will be presented with

a leaders jersey and a cash prize. this jersey and omnium are a great way for us to spread our impact on

young riders as well as increase impressions for our team and our sponsors.

tour of california

in 2012, more than 200 friends joined east west bikes and stage 17 racing a few miles from the finish of the

mt. baldy stage at the tour of california. some drove, some rode -- no matter how they chose to get there

we all had a damn good time. we look to double that number in 2013, bringing along with us more of our

sponsors, giving them an opportunity to build relationships and showcase their products to our fans. we

will stake our claim on the same corner, year after year, with the vision of marking it our corner.

drag race

this summer a group known as the wolfpack hustle put on a drag race in downtown la. they received

permits and closed down the second ave tunnel for the entire night as over 500 riders raced head to

head in front of thousands of people. the attitude was completely positive and a reflection of the

bicycle community in los angeles and how it has grown over the years. we want to become a bigger part

of our local cycling community through these completely organized and insured events. development

will extend past the competitive cyclists and into the entire cycling community. we want to bring our

sponsors with us as we find new ways to have fun riding bicycles while extending the reach of our brand.
