ITEM 8h Staff Report Subject: Caltrans Audit Report Contact: Martin Magaña, Director of Transportation ([email protected]) Recommendation: Information Background: CVAG has been receiving grant funding from the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for a couple of on-going projects. On occasions and depending on the amount of the grant awarded, Caltrans will deploy their internal team to audit the programs/projects receiving such grant funding. The Caltrans audit team from the Independent Office of Audits and Investigations started their field work on August 13, 2018 and was at our offices for a week. The audit team focussed on two programs – Signal Synchronization and CV Link. The audit was completed, and the final Financial and Management System Audit Report was issued on December 18, 2018. The findings and CVAG’s responses to them are attached for your review. Fiscal Analysis: No financial impact.
