New patientsWe are always delighted to welcome new patients to our practice. We have found over the years that many of our patients pass on our excellent service to their friends and family. Both Paul Hughes and Paul Silvester have availability on their books for new patients. Our new patient examination is currently discounted from £130 to £90.

Health IssuesIt’s that time of the year again when colds are flourishing. If you have a cold but feel well enough to come in the clinical staff will see you. They are masked up so they are protected from infection. If you are feeling unwell and want to rebook your appointment please give us as much notice as possible, preferably 48 hours. The reception team will do their best to rebook your appointment, and 48 hours notice gives them time to reallocate your appointment to someone else.

Dental Payment plansCost is one of the most likely factors to keep patients from visiting the dentist. It’s very tempting to cancel or postpone a dental appointment. But this can be a false economy. By delaying or putting off dental appointments you may find yourself needing costly and complex dental treatment in the future. A dental payment plan allows you to spread the cost of your dental care and means you are more likely to see your dentist regularly and less likely to need dental treatment.

The importance of regular visits to your dentist and hygienist cannot be over-estimated. Dental problems can contribute to lifelong oral and general health issues but many are preventable which is why looking after your oral health is so important. A payment plan not only gives you assurance that you won’t have to reach too deeply into your pocket or purse whenever you see the dentist or hygienist; it will encourage you to stick to your appointments which could help you maintain good oral health. And if you do find you need dental treatment – depending on the plan you are on – you may only have to pay a fraction of the cost. Ask us about Denplan.

Movember This year all our “boys” have been growing a moustache for charity. So if you have been in for an appointment during November and wonder what is going on behind the mask, it’s Movember. There will be a box in reception if you would like to support their gallant efforts. Movember supports men’s health charities.

Tooth whiteningYour smile is one of the first things others notice about you. Whitening can reduce the telltale signs of ageing and stains and help you smile with confidence. Please ask our reception team for a review appointment or speak with your dentist the next time you have an appointment.

Appointments and emergenciesTo cancel or re-arrange an appointment, please give us at least 48 hours notice so that we can allot the time to someone else. There may be a charge if the appointment cannot be re-allocated.

If you have a problem which requires emergency treatment, please contact the practice as early as possible so that we can try to see you on the same day. Outside normal practice hours, please listen to our answer phone message for further information.
