ABOUT STACK
Established Since 1983: Stack Electronics has been engaged in
the industry since 1983, longer than all but a few distributors. All key
management has been with the company for well over 15 years and
has direct responsibility for the major global regions of Asia, Europe
and the Americas. Since management is physically located at Stack
sites throughout these regions, we are able to operate within these
regions with a consistent business model.
Substantial & Focused: Stack’s yearly revenues are approximately
400+ million. So, we are large enough to support small sized to
extremely large customers, while being focused enough to provide
very close support. The perfect mix. Strong financial strength
coupled with key account management teams (as customer is
designated) to insure seamless, targeted and effective coverage of
all geographical site locations.
COST SAVINGS AND POSITIVE PPV
Today’s industry is more competitive than ever, with every company
utilizing component parts or assemblies looking to drive savings
wherever possible. Certainly, virtually every customer we are engaged
with has a preferred supplier program in place to explore how costs can
be reduced. With respect to the programs Stack participates in, our
ranking is always within the top 3 of participants, with quarterly and
annual savings always in the top one or two. This calculation is based
upon both the number of line items and dollar value of items transacted.
Major OEM’s and CM’s strive to manage their supply chain and approved
suppliers with the approach of aligning the minimal number suppliers, with the
broadest reach possible of product offerings. This makes perfect sense as
maintaining a large database of suppliers, many of whom receive little or no
business, is cumbersome, costly, inefficient and minimizes purchase
leverage. Strategically, a smaller database of key suppliers, well versed in
your supply chain model, is almost always better suited in achieving
maximum value and execution. This reality has become a valued
characteristic of Stack, evident by our wide range of services and product
offerings. To date, Stack is uniquely suited to support a wide variety of
customer purchase needs. Our global sourcing model enables Stack to
regularly exploit pricing disparities between markets to provide significant cost
reductions to our customers.
DIVERSITY OF PRODUCTS
In addition, specifically through our entity Supply Concepts, we are very well
equipped to provide a primary or alternate source capability on a multitude of
products ranging from custom Wire Harness & Cable Assemblies, to Plastics,
Metal Fabrication, and many other items built to specifications. Currently, we
support dozens of customers with various products within the Supply
Concepts portfolio and without exception, at reduced pricing structures from
the previous supplier. Given the combination of the “traditional” products and
“alternate source” products Stack can support, it can be said quite confidently
that there is no other company within the industry that can support such a
unique combination. Stack’s product offerings directly dovetail into the
majority of customer’s who are seeking supply chain efficiency and optimized
pricing leverage. Please refer to our website www.supplyww.com to get a more
comprehensive picture of the types of items we support.
DIVERSITY OF PRODUCTS
Blanket Orders: where there is good visibility and very stable forecast, some
customers like to issue orders as "one and done"...so they don't have to
continuously monitor MRP's and wish to have confidence of smooth deliveries.
These type transactions generally are for deliveries over 6 months, or longer.
SMI: also requires good visibility and reasonably good forecasts however, it
provides some inventory flexibility (pull ins, push outs) and also provides for a
degree of "buffer stock" to address project upsides. Normally, these
transactions have durations of 1 year, or longer.
Opportunity Buys: some customers have little visibility on their demand or,
their demand changes dramatically from quarter to quarter so they prefer to
commit only for short term immediate stock, to be shipped in its entirety, with no
provision for us to maintain inventory on hand or any "buffer stock".
Quarterly Buys: for customers who have a stable demand but do not wish to
have inventory exposure beyond one quarter. Typically, they will buy 25% of
EAU only, sometimes they will request monthly releases over this period.
FLEXIBLE MATERIAL PROGRAMS
No matter the proficiency of the supply chain model, every OEM and CM is tasked
with managing the process of materials excess to the production cycle. This is
reality and certainly not a condemnation of the system in place…simply put,
business is ever changing and too fluid/unpredictable to anticipate every turn to the
degree excess inventory is always avoided. As such, it is critical to have
mechanisms in place to effectively deal with such occasions so that either
maximum revenues can be generated from these inactive items through liquidation
or, if this is not possible, they can be scrapped efficiently, in a manner consistent
with green protocols while preserving the security of the originator (OEM, CM) of
the product. Stack has long been a partner to many customers in this area,
knowing full well that our expertise/capability not only benefits the customer in
effectively addressing this issue but provides further supply chain consolidation to
the customer since a separate addition to the AVL specifically for excess materials
is unnecessary.
COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTIONS
With regard to material liquidation, our capability is worldwide and encompasses
the full range of products and systems with all applicable certifications. For items
free to be liquidated, we utilize a targeted approach rather than others who seek
only to provide a return of pennies on the dollar. With Stack, we utilize a database
designed specifically for excess materials which matches ongoing customer
demand, worldwide, to your excess materials. This method provides for much
better returns on these materials and can be accomplished by line item or as a
consigned lot. Either way, Stack is well equipped to maximize the liquidation value
of the materials in a highly efficient/effective manner.
COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTIONS
Stack Electronics safeguards the stability of its customer’s supply chain by
implementing stringent guidelines and procedures directing that all product
must be sourced procured directly from factory and authorized channels only.
As such, Stack has become a tremendously viable low risk supplier of choice
by a wide majority of leading OEM’s, CM’s, Repair Facilities, Govt. & Defense
Contracting Agencies. There is zero deviation in procurement policy unless at
explicit written and verbal request of a customer in urgent need of materials
on allocation, or materials that have since gone end of life (EOL). As such,
Stack utilizes numerous inspection and verification processes, as well as
accredited testing facilities to ensure that no substandard materials will ever
enter into the supply chain. All products distributed by Stack Electronics are
fully 100% guaranteed to be new and original, free of all defects, and come
with full warranty. Going one step further, the Stack Electronics Corporation
carries an additional insurance policy of 5 million USD.
MATERIAL ORIGIN & STACK GUARANTEE
Regarding QSM (Quality Management Systems), Stack’s day to day
operations are strictly governed under the ISO 9001:2008 quality
management standard. To maintain this certification, Stack undergoes annual
ISO audits/review. In addition to operating within these principal guidelines,
Stack performs its own quarterly & annual supplier assessments. This
process may include onsite audit and inspection of the following: process and
control areas, equipment validation & inspection, random selection &
verification of material origin, proper stocking and handling of conforming &
non conforming product, incoming & outgoing material inspection, safety and
environmental conformance. Furthermore, Stack performs its own extensive
incoming & outgoing material inspection, in house testing, packaging &
labeling, bar coding, lot control, documenting & record retention, digital
imaging and photo archiving, departmental reviews and employee training.
Stack’s warehouses are ESD compliant and offer secure dedicated customer
stocking areas under continuous video surveillance.

language and knowledgeable/comfortable in local cultures. Accordingly, our
team speaks over 20 languages and Stack literally operates
24/7/365…there will always be a direct support team member or backup
available, no matter what day or time.
