On Saturday 31 October 2020 we have 2 events happening which we hope you will join us for

1. This event is for all ages! We hope you will join us in lighting up Liverpool with a message of hope and love at this challenging time by being part of our pumpkin trail. What do you need to do?

In John 8:12 Jesus said, I am the light of the world. At this time, which often promotes darkness, mischief and being scared we are asking you to carve your pumpkin with a theme that demonstrates that God is pure light with not a trace of darkness and so let our pumpkins shine out messages of love, joy and happiness. Once completed pop a battery operated tea light in it and either place it in the window or outside of your home where it is clearly visible to passers-by on Saturday 31 October 2020 from 4pm onwards. You could also post a picture of it to St Peters Facebook or Instagram page with the above scripture or another bible verse that you have based your design on.

If you are intending to carve a pumpkin then please let us know via youthworker@stpeters-woolton.org.uk together with your address and postcode by no later than Saturday 25 October 2020 so we can include you in our pumpkin trail map for others to find your happy pumpkin as they head out on their pumpkin walk. The link to the map will then be provided via our website.

2. We are also holding an online pumpkin themed party for children age 3-6 at 6-6.45 pm and children age 7-11 at 7-7.45 pm using Zoom. Booking is required for the party. Please contact Lorraine at youthworker@stpeters-woolton.org.uk to book your place who will then send you the information to join us. This is a Christian alternative to Halloween so please, no Halloween costumes. If your child would like to dress up then please come as a superhero or wearing orange or bright coloured clothing.

NB. If you would like to take part in either of the above events please complete the information below and return it to us to youthworker@stpeters-woolton.org.uk. A booking confirmation will then be provided to you which will include further information on how to join and take part in the events. We will be providing a light party bag which will need to be collected from the church hall courtyard on Friday 30 October which will have everything you need to be part of the light party. If you would prefer to gather your own equipment we will put items onto the website which can be downloaded and printed off and anything else you will need for the party games.

Each light party bag will include the following:

Materials for a make your own pumpkin mask (paper plate, stick on eyes, smiley mouth, heart, orange tissue paper, string/elastic), Pumpkin party activity puzzle sheets, Ideas to make a buddie bracelet and lantern, A ring donut and length of string (for game), An apple (for game), A bag of sweets, A card with a grid of 6 squares for them to complete for the pumpkin trail, Glow sticks. Glow in dark play doh. Any instructions, activity sheets will be available to download from our website. These will need to be collected at a time slot on Friday 30.10.20 or time slot on Sat morning 31.10.20
