Eucharistic Exposition and AdorationWednesday, August 2
We are privileged to celebrate the Presence of Christ as we celebrate the Mass with frequent and regular opportunities. The Mass is primary celebration of the Eucharist. Because we celebrate the Eucharist, we also have opportunities for corporate and personal prayer in the Sacramental presence of His Body and Blood at both Eucharistic Exposition (with a monstrance) and Eucharistic Adoration (in the tabernacle). Both are the same Presence of Christ as we, the body of Christ, have gathered to celebrate the Mass as God’s Pilgrim People. The Catholic Church professes the sacramental presence of the Risen Lord in the consecrated elements of bread and wine. Eucharistic Exposition is held in the Parish Chapel on the First Wednesday of every month, starting at 1:00 p.m., and ending at 7:00 p.m. All parishioners are invited to participate in Eucharistic Adoration during the day and times listed above. One may come at any time during Eucharistic Exposition hours and stay as long or briefly as your schedule permits. Regular participants are encouraged to sign up (name and phone number), so you can receive a reminder call each month. We also use Sign Up Genius for online sign-ups. This service is available on the parish web site, as well as a message sent through Constant Contact for those who receive parish e-mails. During Exposition, there must be parishioners in attendance at all times. The Chapel is open for Eucharistic Adoration each weekday during regular office hours.
PARISH CALENDAR
GREAT NEWS!!!You can now view the parish calendar for available meeting spaces and request a room for your ministry’s meeting online. Visit the parish website’s calendar and event request button to send in your request. If you need help using the system, please call the office.

FAMILY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES:We are looking for families who can volunteer an hour or so per week to weed the various landscaped beds on our campus. The area around the church and the Sr. Teresa Memorial Garden are currently maintained by a wonderful volunteer, Dorothy Scull, and we’d like the rest of our campus to look just as nice. Each family would have a small area assigned to them to pull weeds and remove any debris. Please e-mail [email protected], or call 528-1622 if you are able to participate in this beautification project.
From the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry:The Food of the Month for August is CANNED TUNA. We always go through our stock of tuna quickly. Please place your donations in the blue containers outside the church entrance the weekend of August 5-6. Thanks and God bless you all!
A Weekend of Discovery…A Lifetime of Love!!You’re invited to attend a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend,
where married couples can get away from jobs, kids, chores, and phones – and focus only on each other.
If you’d like greater depth, growth, and enrichment in your relationship, you’ll like the difference a Worldwide Marriage Encounter
weekend can make! The upcoming Marriage Encounter weekends are:
*September 22-24, St. Joseph Parish, Cold Spring, KY (non-residential; full content weekend with participants
returning home each evening, no overnight stay)
October 20-22, Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, Norwood, OH
November 3-5, Spiritual Center of Maria Stein, Maria Stein, OH
For more information or to register, contact Dave or Jan Stockelman

SAINT VERONICA CHURCH CINCINNATI, OHIO
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!Thanks be to God for the wonderful experience of Vacation Bible School for our parish. 122 participants and 118 volunteers spent the week singing, playing, snacking, exploring, discussing and imagining our way through Bible stories and learning some important and enduring lessons about our good God.
This year’s theme was
Maker Fun Factory – Created by God, Built for a PurposeWe learned that:
God created us, God is for us, God is always with us, God always loves usand God created us for a purpose.
It is vital for children and adults too, to hold onto these basic truths about God’s great love. How necessary it is to know that we are each lovingly created for a special purpose here on earth, and most importantly that our ultimate purpose is to be with God forever in heaven. Just knowing God is walking with us and we are not alone, and that He is for us, not against us, supporting us in our tough times, are reassuring messages as we travel through life. Lastly, when we see God’s forever love in Jesus’ death on the cross, and understand that God continues to love us even when we make bad choices, it can change everything. God never tires of loving us, calling us back, and forgiving us. He desires only our love in return.
This year, we challenged students and families to work on creating projects at home during VBS, and 70 students accepted the Robot Challenge. Using only recycled materials and their imaginations, they came up with out-of-this-world creations. Each robot was unique and as special as its creator. (Kind of like each of us.)
Congratulations to Our Winners!!Selected by anonymous peer voting.

Everyone also pitched in to help us raise funds for our “Clean Water Initiative.” In conjunction with Catholic Relief Services, we were able to raise $485.03 to help provide clean drinking water and hygiene education for kids and families in need around the world. St. Veronica kids are learning they can make a difference!
There are so many to thank for this wonderful week. Surely, I know many were praying for the success of this venture, for the volunteers and the participants. Know those prayers were graciously answered. For those who donated items, time, talents, or money to help in this effort, thank you for your overwhelming generosity. VBS couldn’t happen without such support.
My most heartfelt thanks to the adults and young people who left their lives and phones behind for a few hours each day in loving service to God and the children of our parish. You were shining examples of service to the little ones, who looked up to you so much. Your sacrifice, your steadfastness, and your joy touched me, and certainly impacted the kids. They will remember the special times we shared this week, and know that they are part of a big loving parish family.
I invite you to join us next July at VBS. Whatever we do, I promise, it will be exhilarating!
